The Albion staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are of a decent size and are specc'ed to a good standard (and quiet). The bathrooms are very clean and have good showers. The downstairs bar has a nice feel and a number of English books if you intend to stay a while.
It is absolutely ideally placed for Menim Gate...

The hotel was spotless. The staff really nice and helpful. The hotel was a couple of minutes walk from the Menin gate and the town square. It had a bar which was very reasonable.
I read the reviews about breakfast and was expecting something amazing but it wasn't it was the usual stuff you get like bread jam 1 meat...

Our 2 day WWi battle sites tour started in France and finished in Ypres, where we were originally booked at the Albion for 1 night. We liked the hotel and Ypres so much that we stayed an extra night. Originally a trade union office, we loved the hotel's old world charm, decor and ambience; the staff were cheerful, friendly and...

We used this hotel for a weekend away we are two couples.
We had a very friendly and helpful reception. They provided help parking our car off road at the rear of the hotel.

A clean, warm, friendly hotel. Both Bedroom and Bathroom were generously sized with a tea & coffee tray in the room and a small toiletry collection. Very near to the Menin Gate and the main square, restaurants and bars are an easy walk away. Eager to help with our evening restaurant enquiry, we were shown menus of ones with local...

My friend and I both thought this was a very nice European hotel, clean, friendly, helpful staff, terrific location to visit Ieper and within walking distance of good restaurants, bars, and homemade Belgian chocolates. We both thought that the complementary umbrellas were a nice touch. Very good beakfast buffet with fresh brewed coffee.

Lovely hotel, impeccably clean, spacious room and bathroom, good breakfast. The best thing for this often tea-deprived Kiwi is having an electric jug, as we say in NZ, or a kettle as you may know it, in the room. True, there is no milk, no fridge, and only one teabag, but I'd come prepared and so was able to spend...

We stayed here this year.. September 2011. Long time family owned business. First class service, great breakfast, and excellent room. Can highly recommend.
Interesting town which had major role in WW1. Make sure you attend the playing of the Last Post at Menin Gate at night time. Walking distance from the Albion Hotel.
We are from Australia, and it was...

Stayed at the Albion again for rememberance and once again received the most friendly service from all the staff in this lovely family run hotel.
The service really is second to none, nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
We have booked again for next year also because I would...
