Very warm welcome by reception staff, who at all times were friendly and informative. The room was excellent with large double bed and usual comforts. Room was very clean and tidy. Excellent car parking facilities. Restaurant and Bar were a pleasure to use. Excellent location to tour the town as well as the local area.

A light and airy hotel, with accommodation in a separate block (joined by a covered-in walkway), so no noise from lifts/elevators. Great view of fascinating town from the room. Restaurant is inside or outside, with first-class breakfast. A few little hiccups - no soap dish in the bath (why not?) and the TV screen above the suitcase holder prevented the... More

This is a wonderful hotel. There is nothing bad to say about it; from the staff, the rooms, the breakfast and the cleanliness, everything is perfect. Nothing has been overlooked(right down to the chocolates on your room tea tray). We would recommend this hotel to anybody as the perfect place to stay in Ypres.

I have to say that the Ariane is a very special hotel - I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel before that has not only ticked every single box but created new ones! So much thought has been given to what guests would need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay - from room facilities, size of beds, bathrooms... More

The Ariane is a fantastic hotel. My husband and I stayed here over the Easter Period. I had booked it for my husbands 50th Birthday and we wanted to visit the war graves. The Hotel is in a great position, just 5 minutes from the main square and the Menin Gate. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at... More

Completely agree with most reviewers, it would be pretty churlish and difficult to find any fault. It is exceptionally good, with great staff. They have a new outdoor patio area which will be a great success. My only complaint was a charmless and uncivilised driver who swiped the rear wing of my rental car, and then escaped. Can't blame the... More

This really is an outstanding hotel...not just its location in a quiet area just minutes away from the main square, not just the blend of old and new in the attractive and spacious building, not just the fascinating displays relating to the 1914-18 war, not just the comfortable and well-equipped bedrooms, not just the bar, breakfast and dining rooms, not... We stayed here for two nights. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had to leave before breakfast was served both mornings and the night porter made sure that we had something to eat and drink before leaving. We have visited Ypres several times and this is by far the best hotel we have... More

We were looking for somewhere to stay to visit the WW1 memorials and also be close enough to travel to watch the Paris Roubaix cycle race. We spent some time on Booking.com and liked the look and sound of this one but the price was a bit higher than we wanted to pay. In the end we booked two nights... More

Our 3rd stay here. This time for 2 nights. Room clean and comfy. Plenty of space to put things. Bathroom clean (bath with shower over). Room did get a bit warm, but we opened a window! Restaurant excellent. We had lunch on the day of our arrival (set menu of the day) and dinner one evening Staff are lovely, very... More
