The Ariane is the best hotel in Ypres, without exception. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and good food. On a hot day there is nothing better than to taste belgian beer on the terrace behind the hotel. Good sized car park. The hotel is only ten minutes gentle walk from the Menin Gate where the very moving Last Post Ceremony takes... More

We had a brief stay here after visiting the Pheasant Wood cemetery. It is good with a good restaurant . There is free parking, walking distance to the Menin Gate and hire bicycles. Rooms are modern and staff friendly. Also, for us after a while in France it was good to get reliable water pressure and temperature in showers and... More

I stayed in this hotel for two nights during some research into tracing the war experience of my grandparents. There hotel is located very close to the centre of Ieper, even though it appears you are driving into a business park. There is good parking outside the hotel and no steps into the hotel which makes it easy to carry... More

I stayed here for three nights in May 2011, for a family reunion and to visit some of the surrounding WW1 sites. Good points: Nice, spacious reception area with comfortable seats, very friendly staff, good restaurant, excellent breakfast included in the price of the room. The room itself (301) was spacious and comfortable and, being on the third floor and... More

Situated a short distance from the centre of Ypres this hotel served us well for a couple of nights while we did a bit of WW1 exploration. The room and bathroom were clean (if a little warm - aircon a bit on the blink), staff were excellent, parking was useful, and breakfast was most enjoyable. I would echo other travellers'... More

A very comfortable and modern hotel. We travelled by Eurotunnel and the drive was just over an hour. We paid for a superior room (no 305) - the rooms are pretty modern - and ours had a nice arched widow overlooking the small courtyard and pond. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom looked like it was still due a... More

This was my second visit to the Ariane Hotel and once again it did not disappoint. I was travelling with a large group of bandsmen and supporters from New Zealand for the ANZAC Ceremonies. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff of this hotel as they accommodated us so graciously with our many and varied requirements, such as allowing... More

we always book this hotel if we can, good sized rooms, first class service from friendly staff, they have over the past 10 years that we have been staying here maintained the highest standards in everything they do. The restaurant is very good and the weekly menu of the day is excellent value. More

Well located in the centre of Ypres. Rooms comfortable. Only gripe is that in the age of free internet, they insist in charging. Enough to make me consider a different hotel. Breakfasts were very good and beds comfortable More

We stayed here to visit the battlefields and were delighted with the hotel. It is well situated near the centre but in a quiet spot with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We also ate in the restaurant one night which, although not cheap, was very good indeed. Highly recommended More
