Everything here just works nicely: Rooms are good, staff friendly and location is excellent for both touring Ieper city or getting out of the city by car to visit battlefields etc. Breakfast is excellent.

We spent the night here while spending three days travelling around France and Belgium, looking at places of interest to do with WW1, and looking for family graves. Out of the hotels we stayed at, it was our favourite, and we will stay again (one family member had already been previously, and has since been again). Great location - only... More

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 15 years and it just gets better and better. Its superbly located, close enough to the town to walk but far enough to be peaceful. The refurbishment has modernised the hotel to an elegant standard. The staff are amazing and everything is catered for. The restaurant serves wonderful food... More

The rooms are very spacious. We ate in the restaurant tonight and everyone really enjoyed their food. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The servings are a good size so you should not leave hungry. The paella for 2 was very good.

Just returned from a short 2 night break at the Ariane with our two children aged 13 and 11. They, like my wife and I loved the place. We had a family room which was huge and spotlessly clean as was the en suite bathroom. All the public areas were light and airy and very stylish, with the bar and... More

The Ariane is a really lovely hotel. Ideally situated for a visit to Ypres and the surrounding area. The staff were all very efficient, friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The rooms were exceptional - well equipped with comfortable beds, tea and coffee available, fresh 'free' water every day and good quality toiletries. The breakfast was exceptional with a... More

We were originally booked just for two days and were then moving on to Bruges for a couple of days. My daughter and our friend liked the hotel so much we cancelled the hotel in Bruges and spend 4 days here instead! The hotel is so relaxing which was just what we needed after a busy week in Disneyland and... More

In a residential part of town not far from the Cathedral, this hotel is modern and has car parking outside. Lots of good facilities, lovely room and restaurant. Can thoroughly recommend it. The desk staff are so nice and helpful.

The hotel is exceptionally well run; staff are well trained, they smile at clients, the rooms are lovely and the restaurant while pricey delivers very good food from tapas to monkfish and bacon kebabs. We'll certainly be returning. Why only almost perfect? The bath towels are smaller than I'd expect in a **** hotel, but it's the kind of place... More

Yet another stay at the Ariane; why do we go back? Because it guarantees we'll end our holiday on a high! After holidaying in France, we choose to sail back to the UK from Zeebrugge, from which Ypres is no distance to drive, & staying at the Ariane for a few nights before the ferry crossing from Zeebrugge ensures a...
