Very nice hotel in a great loaction close to the Menai gate with helpful and courteous staff who new what they were doing. Parking was a little tight when we arrived Had upgraded to a premium room which was very spacious with a good sized and comfortable sitting area. The TV also showed BBC 1 and BBC 2 channels for... Often stopping at Ypres on my way back to the UK from business trips in Northern Europe I have stayed in Ypres in different hotels. I always end up going back to the Ariane. It has free parking, great rooms, superb staff and a fabulous bar and restaurant. 10 minutes walk to the Menin Gate and the centre of Ypres... More

This hotel gives you the very best position in Ypres, and if you want to get to town centre or the Manhim Gate you are easy walking distance. We stayed in and had both our evening meals in the hotel restaurant, and were very satisfied, not only with the food, but the staff could not do enough for us. Rooms... More

The whole experience was excellent. From checking in to checking out. Breakfast was just right with a bread bar that was outstanding. As an extra They loaned an umbrella for a wet walk to town which is a great place too. My room was very pleasant and had plenty of light.

Having read previous reviews we hoped that this Hotel was a good choice - and it certainly was - from the warm and personal welcome, standard of the room, acknowledgement to the history of Ypres, food and service in the restaurant and the excellent breakfast there was no fault to be found. This is a short stroll to the menin... More

We stayed here in late July for a few days while visiting some of the battlefields. The hotel is run by extremely helpful and efficient staff. The rooms have exceptionally comfortable beds and the overall impression is that great consideration has been given to room design and facilities (hospitality tray, plenty of plug sockets, large, well-stocked and well-lit bathroom, good-sized... We took four rooms for 11 family members ages 18 months to 64 years old and were delighted with the comfort, hospitality and friendly service. The food was great. A perfect stay for three nights while visiting for the centenary of the First World War. Everyone enjoyed their stay and we will always use this hotel in the future.

This is a great hotel where friendliness and customer service come first, swiftly followed by contempory style and tasty and sumptuous breakfast. This is now the second time I have stayed here - both for WW1 battlefield tours and it's an ideal place to make your base. This trip included an extended family group of 22 which proved no problems... More

The Ariane is close enough to the central square so that you can easily walk down the cobbled streets to the Menin Gate, Cloth Hall, Cathedral, cafes and restaurants, yet far enough so that it's quiet and there is effortless parking. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always looking for ways to improve the hotel and your experience. This is... More

We stayed here based on TripAdvisor rating, and were happy with our choice. The reception staff are great, we got a free welcome drink in the bar, and the breakfast buffet was excellent (the only meal we ate there). Rooms are a good size, clean, and well equipped with blessed air conditioning. WW1 memorabilia and photos decorate the lobby and... More
