Extremely well located and perfect for an easy stroll into the town square. They welcome visitors warmly, with a free drink upon arrival. (And when in Belgium, you must definitely ask for a Belgian Beer!) The streets were quiet so we were able sleep with the windows open; so while in the center of the city, the Hotel Ariane is... More

For a base from which to explore the WW1 battlefields the Ariane cannot be faulted. A 5 minute stroll from the town centre and the Menin Gate but away from the tourist hordes, and with its own car park, the situation is perfect. Our rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and the bathroom was modern with a lovely dual shower over... More

We stayed one night in Ypres and found the hotel staff welcoming and efficient from booking through to checkout. Room was spacious and quiet and the welcome drink on arrival an added bonus. Would definitely stay there again as hotel is well located and has own car park.

Easy parking a pleasant 5 minute walk from the centre of Ypres. The service is friendly and efficient and the rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. For me the highlight was breakfast. Quite simply the best arrangement of pastries and croissants I have tasted for a long time. Very good. We enjoyed the WW1 memorabilia, tastefully displayed. Ypres is... More

This is the second time we have stayed at the Ariane. Since we last stayed the place has grown and been refurbished but still as good as ever. No complaints at all. Well done to the owners and staff. Would recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as a party of 16, during a WW1 commemoration trip to Northern France and Flanders. The hotel is modern, good restaurant area and bar. It also houses some WW1 memorabilia. Staff were excellent - nothing to much trouble and indeed ensured that at breakfast following morning we were seated as a group.... More

My husband and I travelled in the UK and northern Europe for 10 weeks this year. Our 3 night stay at the Hotel Ariane was one of our best experiences! It was very clean, the staff were friendly, efficient & helpful in answering our questions. The restaurant served a delicious breakfast which was included in the price of the room.... More

By saying that your stay here was one of the highlights of your time in Europe, you have really paid us a great compliment! We are delighted to read that you were happy, not only with the hotel but also with our restaurant - and that the tour of the battlefields which we recommended met your expections. We are also... We stayed at the Ariane for a week during our vacation. We wanted to stay at a place where we could do day trips plus we had hired a local WW1 guide for 3 days from that area. The hotel staff was lovely. A big plus is there wonderful breakfasts and the restaurant was very good if we didn't want... More

Great hotel, almost in town centre. Very comfortable, clean rooms and a good sized car park. The restaurant is in a conservatory and overlooks a garden at the rear of the hotel. Buffet style breakfast and plenty of it.

Arrived from the ferry to a warm welcome and a lovely room. We had been upgraded to a larger room that was exceedingly comfortable although my father was not upgraded and he said his room was exceedingly comfortable too! Only stayed 1 night and had a delicious dinner and lovely breakfast. All the staff that we met were just lovely.... More
