My husband and I travelled in the UK and northern Europe for 10 weeks this year. Our 3 night stay at the Hotel Ariane was one of our best experiences! It was very clean, the staff were friendly, efficient & helpful in answering our questions. The restaurant served a delicious breakfast which was included in the price of the room.... More

We stayed at the Ariane for a week during our vacation. We wanted to stay at a place where we could do day trips plus we had hired a local WW1 guide for 3 days from that area. The hotel staff was lovely. A big plus is there wonderful breakfasts and the restaurant was very good if we didn't want... More

Great hotel, almost in town centre. Very comfortable, clean rooms and a good sized car park. The restaurant is in a conservatory and overlooks a garden at the rear of the hotel. Buffet style breakfast and plenty of it.

Arrived from the ferry to a warm welcome and a lovely room. We had been upgraded to a larger room that was exceedingly comfortable although my father was not upgraded and he said his room was exceedingly comfortable too! Only stayed 1 night and had a delicious dinner and lovely breakfast. All the staff that we met were just lovely.... More

Having stayed here before ( with previous Jim's Tours adventures), this excellent hotel continues to delight the battlefield buffs. Eight of us stayed here on Wednesday night - just for one night, and it was first class as usual. The area from reception to the restrooms was being re-plastered prior to a repaint - which was no hassle, and the... More

The Ariane is modern and some might see it as disappointing to be in a hotel lacking historical patina and character in beautiful, ancient Ypres. But the thing to remember is that the town had to be completely reconstructed after World War 1. And while the town's buildings' exteriors were all rebuilt, in many cases the interiors weren't (except in... More

Booked this hotel through Great Escapes, what a treat. For a long weekend to visit my wife's Grandfathers grave at Kemmel. Arrived at hotel to be greeted with a lovely smile from the receptionist. Rooms fantastic, facilities superb, breakfast second to none. Ate at hotel for evening meal, food good quality but had to ask for bar menu after being... More

This was one of our best hotel experiences. The staff was friendly, efficient. The location was a short walk to the center, so close enough, but not THERE. The hotel was clean and welcoming, the room was a nice size, clean, and very pleasant. We hope to visit Ypres again soon, and will stay at Ariane again, for sure.

We recently stayed at this Hotel while on a tour of the WW1 Battlefields. It was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were both efficient and friendly. The breakfast was very good with a large selection. We didn't have dinner at the Hotel, preferring to eat in the many restaurants throughout the town. Overall, we had a very pleasant... More
