Location is out of town - so you have to drive to get into centre. We arrived on a Sunday night and had no problems to drive in for the ceremony - but at peak season can imagine this would not be possible. Rooms were clean and pleasant. Breakfast was really well stocked and had a good selection - more... More

I stayed here in April on a school trip to the battlefields. The food was quite good, there were several options each night. The water however was disgusting!!!! It was based well for trips to the battlefields and the memorials. We also visited France.

So, the meals were not great at all, the cleanliness of the room we were in was ridonculous! Room didn't smell very nice at all!! Don't suggest you go to this hotel ever! Did not enjoy this trip what so ever other than when we were out of the hotel! Windows opened Into doors which for security reasons is unsafe(it... More

Travelled to Ieper to watch my daughter sing at the Cathedral and Last Post ceremony at The Menin Gate with her school choir. After a few delays crossing the channel, arrived at the hotel about 9pm on the Saturday evening - quick check in and off to our rooms I was in room 4 - felt more like a suana... More

Rooms very good with excellent television facilities but unfortunately the food ( and most certainly the drink) were absolutely atrocious. Quite far out from the main part of the city which is a shame. It should be noted that I stayed in the hostel bit at the side of the main hotel which may or may not be better. But... More

Stayed here with about 30 students as part of a Galina tour of the battlefields. As a teacher, this was ideal. A good location and the rooms were close together, which meant it was easy to keep an eye on all of the students! The hotel is split into two almost, so if you're staying as an actual guest, that... Stayed in the Hostel side with 9 staff and 90+ secondary students as part of the Batttlefields trip visiting museums, battlefields, cemeteries and the Menin Gate. Great location. Rooms were ok for what we needed for the night although very very hot. No air con upstairs and it was like a sauna. Rooms were all close together so easy to... More

After leaving school at around 6:20AM, heading to the tunnel and beginning the battlefields adventure, visiting Vimmy Ridge and it's surrounding places of interest, we arrived at the hotel. Also, for people not visiting as a school, the main hotel part looks stunning, however, the hostel side of the hotel is, how do I say this... different... We were read... More

We went with 40 school children and 5 adults. We will never go again to this place. Reasons: 1 - Teachers were given ingredients only and had to prepare the pack lunches for pupils 2 - lunch provided was not enough to sustain growing teenagers for day of site seeing 3 - staff were rude and yelled at teachers for...
