Stayed with family and dogs, ideal accommodation. Friendly staff and flexible. The breakfast here is superb, sets you up for the day and you can have what you, cooked, cereal, cheeses, ham and fruit. I will stay here again no problem

I stayed at this hotel whilst on a battlefield tour. The rooms were very clean and spacious. I also dined in the restaurant on two nights. The first occasion I had the set 18 euro menu. I found this very good and filling. On the second occasion I dined from the a la carte menu. This was slightly more expensive... More

I stayed here with friends on a shopping trip to Ypres. This hotel is about a mile north of the town centre, but it's an easy and straightforward walk into town. The reception was welcoming and friendly (good English spoken). There is good offroad parking. Rooms are comfortable, spottlessly clean and well equipped (refurbed in 2012 I believe). There is... Superb location for all 1st WW visits around Ypres. The rooms are Scandinavian feeling, like the name suggests, a lodge. Beautiful and well appointed with facilities. The service is superb, the young lady spoke better English than me! The breakfast is without doubt the best I have had on the continent. Great value. Highly recommend.

I found the BEST WESTERN Flanders Lodge hotel at Ypres a very pleasant place to stay with comfortable rooms, friendly English speaking staff, and interesting design. Although I didn't have my evening meal at the hotel there is an excellent lounge for a nightcap and for mixing with other guests. The supplied breakfasts were enjoyable and the Breakfast room delightful.... More

Location is out of town - so you have to drive to get into centre. We arrived on a Sunday night and had no problems to drive in for the ceremony - but at peak season can imagine this would not be possible. Rooms were clean and pleasant. Breakfast was really well stocked and had a good selection - more... More

I stayed here in April on a school trip to the battlefields. The food was quite good, there were several options each night. The water however was disgusting!!!! It was based well for trips to the battlefields and the memorials. We also visited France.

Did not enjoy this trip what so ever other than when we were out of the hotel! Windows opened Into doors which for security reasons is unsafe(it... More

Travelled to Ieper to watch my daughter sing at the Cathedral and Last Post ceremony at The Menin Gate with her school choir. After a few delays crossing the channel, arrived at the hotel about 9pm on the Saturday evening - quick check in and off to our rooms I was in room 4 - felt more like a suana... More

Rooms very good with excellent television facilities but unfortunately the food ( and most certainly the drink) were absolutely atrocious. Quite far out from the main part of the city which is a shame. It should be noted that I stayed in the hostel bit at the side of the main hotel which may or may not be better. But... More
