This hotel is ideally located, only a few minutes walk from the Menin Gate, which was our main reason for travelling to Ypres. Its just off the main square with the Medieval Cloth Hall and near to a wide variety of bars and restaurants. The lady on reception was very friendly and informative, giving advice on local landmarks, restaurants and... More

we stayed here over christmas as part of a coach trip, the hotel is very clean & well equipped ,The rooms are very dark though & simply furnished plus lots of what look like ex war department boxes & napp sacks scattered around,in the four days i was there i did'nt see any one on reception at all,but as our party... Fantastic location. Our room was on the top floor and overlooked the square outside but was still very nice and quiet. I understand the decor is not to everyone's taste but I quite liked it. It is something different at least. The check in lady was very polite and welcoming. She informed us one of the plug sockets was not... More

This Hotel is ideally placed in a quiet side street just a few yards from the town square and 5 minutes walk from the Menin Gate where the Last Post is called every night at 8.00p.m. The beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water and a 'pod' coffee-making machine, hair-dryer and all main English T.V. channels. However it was very... More

Having booked the Regina, we were transferred (just down the road). It is in a great location for restaurants and the Menin Gate, and our room looked out across the Grotte Markt. A bit noisy but then we were in the centre of town. The hotel itself was not noisy. Parking in a side street is relatively cheap if you... More

We drove into town right in the middle of armistice day. Parking was at a premium and when we found a place we were concerned it was short term. When we checked in at the hotel we were told that they now had parking available. We were relieved to find that out and even more relieved when Kris offered to... More

Really pleasant staff member on reception, check in was quick. Room was very clean, breakfast was good. I don't really understand themed hotels but if it creates business all well and good. I'd not hesitate to go again as it's very well situated and the staff were all knowledgable and helpful.

We normally stay at the Regina Hotel (sister hotel) but on arrival found we had been re-allocated to Hotel O. Disappointed at first as we like the Regina and this is the hotel we had chosen. This is a more modern hotel and as many of the reviewers state WWI themed which is a bit different. Location is just a... More

Just back from a few days in Ypres, several of which were spent at this hotel. A really quirky hotel, lots of war memorobilia throughout. Quite dark, but that all adds to the atmosphere. Location couldn't be better - just off the Groote Markt square, literally opposite In Flanders Fields and a couple of minutes from the Menin Gate. We... More
