This is the ULTIMATE respite for travel-weary history buffs. Everybody on tripadvisor loves this place but even great hotels can stumble, so I was cautiously optimistic upon arrival. The first good sign was that Carine (owner/manager) cheerfully let me drop off my luggage early and head to the WWI museum. When I returned, my heavy luggage had been hauled up... More

Stayed for two nights October 2014. Hotel in a perfect location. The owner, Carinne did a great job in advising us on the Menin Gate Last Post ceremony, museums, Commonwealth cemeteries, restaurants etc.. Rooms are quirky and fitted out to an exceptionally high standard. The breakfast is possibly the best we have ever experienced with everything you could want and... More

We had a truly fantastic time here. Carinne is a wonderful host - we were warmly welcomed and given an introduction to Ypres so we could make the most of our time here. We had a room with a jacuzzi bath and private patio which was lovely. Yummy treats are 'hidden' around the room and the minibar, including wine and... More

From stepping inside this hotel everything is so unusual. The warmest greeting and a pot of tea straight away. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and filled with really unusual pieces of furniture and decor. All the rooms are done to a very high standard and are really unusual the mini bar in your room is included in the rate which is... More

Lovely small boutique hotel, great rooms and excellent service. Funky decor, lovely reception area with honour bar and an excellent breakfast. Would be an ideal spot for a couple visiting Ypers. Walking distance to the main square.

This could be a masterclass in how to run a small hotel, or any size of hotel actually, and we count ourselves lucky to have been able to stay here. The decor is fantastic - all clean and cosy - and has some extraordinary touches, like the barber's chair en route to the downstairs loo where you can sit and... More

If you were a stranger to the area passing the hotel (and not familiar with Trip Advisor), you probably wouldn't give it a second glance, - and it would be your loss. All the praise heaped on it by other reviewers is 100% justified. Carine take so much trouble to ensure ones stay in Ypres is enjoyable, - from providing... More

This is, without doubt, the best small hotel ever. The owner Carine pays so much attention to detail, she creates utopia. The building inside and out was immaculate. Our room Atelier, on the ground floor was finished to perfection. The decor was original, incredibly comfortable and beautiful to behold. Even the windows and doors opened and closed in the manner of... More

Stayed here for one night as part of a road trip and absolutely loved it here. It was easy to park opposite the hotel and Carine helped us with a parking dial. The welcome was warm and friendly and the room just incredible. Made use of the circular jet bath and champagne. Breakfast was superb. So many homemade and local... More

This hotel will not disappoint. From the impeccably appointed rooms, spacious and comfortable, to the grand breakfast buffet, you will not want to leave. We stayed two nights in the Experiment room and left wanting to return. With this room, the shower is incredible. You can read a good description of the available rooms on their website. What really impressed... More
