My husband and I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and the accommodation, service and breakfast far exceeded our expectations. The owner offers a concierge service anticipating your needs before you know what they are. The breakfast provided is one you would expect in a five star hotel ( champagne included). Be warned with the choice on offer and... More

We stayed four nights in this marvellous hotel. Already upon arrival it felt like home when we received a very warm welcome by our friendly hostess Carine. Every room has its own atmosphere, are very well equipped with all the luxury to comfort the visitor. Breakfast is served with a personal touch and the guest are offered a wide variety... More

Carine is a marvellous hostess, with a wonderful sense of humour. She is extremely friendly and helpful and provides the most fantastic breakfast. Fresh fruit salad, the best rice pudding ever with vanilla, home-made breads, croissants, local cheeses and cold meats and pate, with hot dishes as well, including home- made waffles and lots of different types of eggs. The... More

This is the ULTIMATE respite for travel-weary history buffs. Everybody on tripadvisor loves this place but even great hotels can stumble, so I was cautiously optimistic upon arrival. The first good sign was that Carine (owner/manager) cheerfully let me drop off my luggage early and head to the WWI museum. When I returned, my heavy luggage had been hauled up... More

Stayed for two nights October 2014. Hotel in a perfect location. The owner, Carinne did a great job in advising us on the Menin Gate Last Post ceremony, museums, Commonwealth cemeteries, restaurants etc.. Rooms are quirky and fitted out to an exceptionally high standard. The breakfast is possibly the best we have ever experienced with everything you could want and... More

We had a truly fantastic time here. Carinne is a wonderful host - we were warmly welcomed and given an introduction to Ypres so we could make the most of our time here. We had a room with a jacuzzi bath and private patio which was lovely. Yummy treats are 'hidden' around the room and the minibar, including wine and... More

From stepping inside this hotel everything is so unusual. The warmest greeting and a pot of tea straight away. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and filled with really unusual pieces of furniture and decor. All the rooms are done to a very high standard and are really unusual the mini bar in your room is included in the rate which is... More

Lovely small boutique hotel, great rooms and excellent service. Funky decor, lovely reception area with honour bar and an excellent breakfast. Would be an ideal spot for a couple visiting Ypers. Walking distance to the main square.

This could be a masterclass in how to run a small hotel, or any size of hotel actually, and we count ourselves lucky to have been able to stay here. The decor is fantastic - all clean and cosy - and has some extraordinary touches, like the barber's chair en route to the downstairs loo where you can sit and... More

If you were a stranger to the area passing the hotel (and not familiar with Trip Advisor), you probably wouldn't give it a second glance, - and it would be your loss. All the praise heaped on it by other reviewers is 100% justified. Carine take so much trouble to ensure ones stay in Ypres is enjoyable, - from providing... More
