We stayed here in February over Valentines weekend and visited the First World War memorial sights. Main Street is a really special hotel and very centrally located. The proprietor is really friendly and helpful and happy to talk through all the tourist attractions when you arrive over a complimentary drink. The reception area is like a little museum with lots... A lovely, friendly and unique hotel, well positioned for everything. Decor and amenities of the room were excellent, the food was delicious and catered for my dairy and wheat free allergies which was both refreshing and inclusive. The proprietor is lovely, very helpful and made us feel very welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived till we left. Can't... More

We stayed three nights while visiting World War 1 battlefields, cemetries and memorials in the Ypres Salient region. Main Street hotel (only six bedrooms) is superb. Carine Declerq, the proprietor, does a wonderful job and it is hard to imagine any traveller not enjoying this quirky, friendly and superbly-equipped small hotel.

I have travelled around the world and stayed in many beautiful places but this hotel is the best. Carine the owner made booking and a change of our plans so easy. Our room 'Top' was immaculately appointed from beautiful fittings, free replenished mini bar, snacks, chocolates and toiletries to the waterproof bath tv controls. And what a fabulous luxurious bathroom! The room was... More

Room was clean, bed perfect and there was a common living room with plenty of space. The owner was so kind to collect and return me to the central station ! Had a delicious breakfast with local marmelade and bread.

This was our first visit and it won't be the last. A small, extremely comfortable and welcoming b and b within walking distance of the historical centre. We had a ground floor room (Pottery) with its own private courtyard garden and the facilities were everything you could want. There was a free minibar including wine, beer and spirits as well... Totally met high expectations. The room was extremely comfortable with all the accessories you could imagine (apart from malt whisky though I am sure this would too have been provided if requested!!) The breakfast options were delicious and the only downside for our stay was finding a parking space in the vicinity.

Chose this on the basis of other reviews and were not disappointed. Friendly and informative welcome, great location within walking distance of Ypres centre, so many personal touches. Not to be missed!

Not sure how to describe this hotel. I have been fortunate enough to stay in some very fine hotels over the years, but this rates as one of the best experiences ever. Carine is delightful and the hotel reflects perfectly her quirky but charming personality. The room we stayed in was fantastic, the ensuite fabulous with flat screen and waterproof... More
