Was part of a group of 44 people travelling for a Royal British Legion tour of the Historical WW1 areas. Our group covered all ages with the youngest being 2 & the oldest 76. The Peace Village was the perfect base for us. The setting is ideal for visiting the various places of the Ypres Salient, as well as being... More

44 of us have recently returned from Ypres. We stayed 3 nights in the Peace Village. The accommodation was as we expected, basic but we were only there in the evenings (so we didn't want nor expect 5*). We had 2 evening meals, both of which were filling and enjoyable. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice and eat... More

Cleanliness! I came here as part of a school trip and stayed here for one night. What did I like: The reception and generally all staff were very friendly, they all spoke an adequate level of understandable English and nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything you could possibly want, the staff could get. The room itself had adequate... More

We took 50 Y8 students on a trip to the Battlefields around the Ypres Salient and stayed here on our second night. Having spent the first and final nights in a ferry, we were all very grateful to have a base with more freedom and more space and this is exactly what the Peace Village offers to school groups without... The peace village is a perfect location for school parties. The rooms sleep between 4 - 6 people with designated 2 bed rooms for staff. The rooms are ideal for students with plenty of room. Breakfast is buffet style with a range of cereals and cold meats. Evening meal is excellent and freshly made. The hostel can also co-ordinate lunches... More

Ideal setting and atmosphere for a tour of the WW1 battle sites. Lovely Continental breakfast. Evening meal is bland, but filling. The bar area is quite and the supply of a beer fridge helps those hardy drinkers. Look forward to next years visit.

Stayed here for 4 nights during the 100km marches. Great location to the start of the walk, cemeteries and Ypres town. The accommodation is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. Will book here again next year. Had no problems from booking it to leaving the place.

We used the Peace Village as a base for a battlefield study, we had 36 people in the group and had no complaints. The rooms were spacious and very clean and the general layout of the village was very nice. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to accommodate our group. The breakfast... More

A beautiful new build in 'No Man's Land'. The rooms are huge with mezzanine floor bedrooms. Downstairs there are wet rooms with separate loo, sitting area and work space for a laptop etc. great patio doors open onto a grassed area outside each of the rooms. There is a bar area and conference room for the use of guests. The... More
