The hotel is located on the market square in the centre of Ypres (Ieper). The rooms are basic but clean - although they could do with either replacing the towels or using some softener when they wash them! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the included continental breakfast was fresh and adequate, even if one of my friends was... More

The hotel room was basic, we had a room for a family for 4 (2 Adults & 2 Teenage Boys), which had a double bed and a set of bunk-beds. There was a TV, an ensuite and a kettle. The hotel overall was a slice of history, built in the 1300's or something crazy, and well presented. The room &... More

We enjoyed staying there. Rather run down though. Don't expect luxury but if you need a bed for the night in the best location in town you will be fine. Bunk bed in family room needs adjusting as it squeaked..,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.

The place is in need of renovation and care. We rang the bell three times before being served, room very small and cramped, bathroom minute and a bit smelly. Aloof staff. Couldn't wait to leave. Hope their find their way.

Place looks and feels like a ghost house..apart from the chap at the front desk (if you can call it a front desk) I've haven't seen a single member of staff..not even during breakfast!! While the hotel is in a prime position (on the square) it is exceptionally run-down and in desperate need of renovation...and a change of ownership, for... More

stayed on 03/01/15 nice hotel in the Square and clean room and although compact nice beds and even lift from ground floor for a small hotel does what it says on the tin! you can pay for better but if short trip a bed is all you need this is perfectly placed and good staff and welcome.

Well positioned on the corner of the market square. Rooms rather tatty, but clean. Reasonably priced in late November. Decent breakfast. Dinner quite good. Bar lively. Staff friendly, if overworked. Free WiFi with good connection.

A very odd 'hotel' , the best thing about it being its location which they obviously trade on. The rooms are old and worn, ensuite is tatty and the size of a cupboard. The whole hotel smells of curry (spitroast chicken evidently). No kettle in the room instead a small coffee maker which you have to use to boil the water!... More

I stayed here with my family at the end of August 2014. As frequent visitors to the Ypres Salient, we always try to stay in a different place every time we go. The room was spacious and the facilites were amenable, although the shower head could do with being more secure. Breakfast was delicious, I slept really well and the... More

We were warmly welcomed to the hotel by all the staff. The rooms were pre-allocated and the booking in process was simple and quick. We were a group of 29 from Harlech in North Wales and we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing appeared to be to much trouble, we ate... More
