The hotel is very well located in central Ypres. The room was spotless and the hotel appears to have been recently refurbished as it all looks fresh and modern. The buffet or freshly cooked breakfast was very good. The owners Vincent and Iwona were very friendly and helpful and provide plenty of information on possible itineraries. There is free WiFi... This small B&B style hotel is very close to the centre "Grand Place" of Ypres so has a pretty ideal location. Immaculately clean with good attention to detail and very well run by Vincent and his wife, the rooms are reasonably sized and breakfast is very good, cold or cooked, both are on offer. On-street parking hasn't been a problem... More

2 star hotel, fairly basic accommodation of high standard, looked after by very attentive staff in this very small hotel. Walking distance of ramparts and market square. Free parking nearby or pay as you go on street. Room 1 not ideal unless need ground floor as next to reception so guests talking is an issue. Room functional, good bathroom, no... More

Enjoyed an excellent 3 days at the hotel on a recent trip to see the War graves and visit The Flanders Museum. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice of cereal, fruit, breads, croissants, yoghurts and bacon and eggs. There are machines in the reception area where you can buy coffee, hot chocolate... More

I loved this hotel. It is a small family run place. Very clean, cozy, central and quiet. What's not to like? We were told there was only a twin room available but asked online for a double if one became available. On arrival we found the twin beds had been put together and had a double sheet across but single... More

Having stayed at the Ambrosia before, I was a little concerned that it might not live up to the extremely high standards that I'd previously enjoyed there, but I needn't have worried. I don't see how this place can be bettered for the warm welcome, comfortable rooms and excellent food. The whole place is spotlessly clean, has very effective free... More

Our main criteria is "clean"....everything perfect. We arrived late in the day and only 1 room available, on top floor and pretty small but was fine for us....we stayed 2nd night!!! Excellent breakfast, owners & staff friendly & helpful. Great position only few minutes walk to everything,

Well! where to start? I Booked this hotel after reading the reviews in TA . Cannot be faulted in any way, Vincent and his team keep a fantastic hotel, close to the centre of all the action, the place was spotless and the breakfast second to none. I took 7 of us here for our annual pilgrimage to the war... More

This is our second visit to The Ambrosia Hotel, the first being in 2008 when it had just opened under the present owners. It is family owned and run with a small staff. It offers a good standard of rooms and comfortable beds. It is bed and breakfast only but offers a choice of English or continental style meals excellently... More

We have visited Ypres / Ieper many times before but never stayed at The Ambrosia, so pleased we have finally come across it! A lovely, friendly, family run hotel, informal, excellent service. The owner even put an extra hour on the parking for us as we lost track of time and the ticket would have run out. Literally 1 minute... More
