I stayed here with a coach tour and enjoyed every minute of it! We arrived on the first evening, left our luggage in the lobby, and went for dinner. Great idea, we were all hungry after journeying from Yorkshire. The food was excellent as was the service. There were three, possibly four, coach parties in the dining room and it... more

Stayed here on a 5 day, all inclusive xmas market holiday. The brochure states full baggage handling throughout the trip, which we thought was ideal as my 73 year old disabled mother & I. This was not the case (no pun intended) but we struggled on. After 15 hours traveling, we were weary, & extremely hungry, we were looking forward... more

After reading your reviews on the Astor we went with some anticipation when we arrived we found that it was very clean better equipped than most hotels the only thing missing was tea making facilities. The staff were friendly and very helpful. the food was good and plentiful all this helped to make our 4 days in Ostend very enjoyable. more

Have stayed here previously on 2 other occassions, but this time it seems rather shabby, carpets in room very dirty, mirror in bathroom hanging off wall, lots of wires hanging from t.v. on wall. The food has previously been excellent but this time not very good. (other people complained as well so not just us)The position of the hotel is great... more

After reading reviews of this hotel I expected it to be good but unfortunaltely was disappointed. We were a group of 3 - a couple and a child and we formed part of a tour group. We had a half board deal (without drinks) and this proved to be a mistake. Whearas the breakfast was decent - although food was... more

We have stayed one night in Royal Astor Ostende. We arrived on a Saturday evening, and it was almost impossible to find a parking place nearby, it took us at least 20 minutes to find one - even the garage nearby was full. I really liked the location of the hotel, it is next to the beach and the city... more

My friend and I went on the Gold Crest Ostend Bonus Break weekend (BB/ED) plus free local beer, wine & soft drinks up until Midnight. As it was part of a package deal we didn't know in advance which hotel we'd been staying in but The Royal Astor exceeded expectation. The situation was perfect, steps to the promenade, shops, bars... more

Travelled with a group, hotel shared with another coach party. Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms although some were on the small side were fairly basic ,clean, looked recently refurbished and were of good standard. Do not expect a view. Our room was at the rear and was extremely hot and airless - when we asked for a fan... more

We went to Ostende for a 2 day trip for St Valentin> Yhe hotel was perfectly situated, 50 metres from the lovely beach., from casino place and tourist office and ideally place to go walking everywhere in town shopping. Our bedroom was classified as superior, with side view to the beach and although large in size still fairly basic. No tea... more
