We stayed here on a recent trip to Bruges. The building is very attractive, and historically interesting (like most things in this lovely town). We thought it had been attractively renovated overall, although perhaps more of its original character could have been maintained. We were happy with the room, which was quiet and comfortable with a pleasant bathroom and lovely... More

This hotel is five star splendour in every way . The attention to detail in all of the rooms especially the bedrooms is excellent. We upgraded to a superior garden room which was really lovely. Fabulous large bed that was really comfortable, lovely decor and furnishings and black marble bathroom that had everything in it you could wish for. The... More

We stayed 3 Nights. Our room was a small suite. It was in the historic part of the hotel with 14+ foot beautiful decorative ceilings. Very large bedroom and bathroom. Great shower. Comfortable king size bed with high quality linens. Staff very efficient and customer service focused. Brunch expansive. Hot items not well prepared but cold items, juices, fruit, breads... More

My wife and I stayed in a courtyard garden view double room from 10-13 April 2015, bed and breakfast booked through Railbookers (who were friendly and extremely efficient). The hotel is perfectly located for exploring beautiful Bruges on foot. Obviously there are other hotels similarly well placed but this is a very key point in making the most of the... More

Beautiful historical building, great modern interior design and decoration, very comfortable, clean and organized, supreme service, best possible location, more than reasonable rates. Everything about the Dukes is perfect. I don't think I'll ever be able to write a better review of a hotel.

This hotel was absolutely perfect. We booked a deluxe room and as it was my husbands 40th birthday they very kindly upgraded us to a deluxe suite, which was utterly amazing. The room was very large, the double bed was extremely comfortable, it had a desk, chairs, sofas, tv with plenty of English channels, ample wardrobe space, drawer space, mini... More

The hotel at first glance is a magnificent structure , the bedrooms clean and well presented , but one expects a better standard of service and the small irritants add up to an average score. The smell of sewers , was a turn off, the noisy hotel guests at 12.30 in the morning should have been managed better , but... More

Loved everything about this hotel from the welcome at reception through to the excellent service at breakfast and dinner to the fabulous rooms. Nothing was too much bother and you were made to feel special. The room was amazing and overlooked the gorgeous gardens and having beautiful sunshine whilst there really helped add to the beauty. A large room with... More

Wow what a beautiful hotel. The only 5 star hotel in Bruges and it certainly earns them. We had a lovely big room for a city break with a spotlessly clean bathroom and l'occtaine toiletries. The stay included one of the best breakfasts I've had. Smoked salmon and scrambled egg, Brie and grape roll followed by Buck's Fizz and a... More

One of the most delightful hotels I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in many. The surroundings are very opulent as are all the public areas. the grounds are superb and the location is second to none with easy walking to the market and the canals. The breakfast buffet was exceptional (and hot!) while we were there with... More
