We stayed here last weekend and loved every minute. Fab location, beautiful room, incredibly clean, so relaxing. The location is great, not only for the main sites, restaurants, market square etc, but it's also a really easy walk from the train station. And it's just far enough outside the main square to be quieter than some of the streets there... More

Having spent two nights in 'The Loft' suite, it was one of the most memorable and perfectly situated B&B's I have ever stayed in. Both my girlfriend and I found the room perfect for our weekend get-away. The owners were extremely welcoming and did their utmost to ensure our stay was memorable. The breakfast was fantastic! We were able to... More

My wife and I stayed at 1669 for 2 nights in July 2014. The proprietors were out of town, and had arranged for two friends of theirs (Svein and Dianne Koningen) to care for the place. We can't say enough about the kind, thoughtful and efficient treatment we were privileged to receive. Dianne helped me greatly to iron out some... More

Apologies for the late review; we stayed in April '14. Perfect location. Superb room. Bike friendly. Excellent food. Would seriously recommend this fantastic B&B to anyone. You even get tourists taking pictures of the building all day long.

We spent 4 nights in 1669 and we enjoyed just everything about the place. The location is just ideal - in the city center but quiet, on one of the cathedral square. The place is extremely authentic and very stylish. I liked spending an hour in the evening in the dining area reading journals on style & design, which this... More

I stayed here last night with my daughter, we were on a quick Christmas trip to Brugges. I couldn't rate this place to stay highly enough, set in a beautiful refurbished house built in 1669 the owners offered us a very warm welcome on arrival. We stayed in a Roof with a View room which was lovely with a bottle... More

We had the loft and I must say it's beautifully decorated. Breakfast was included and the location is perfect. The room was very spacious and has an antique look and feel. It's as though they had the entire B&B done by a professional interior designer. The only issue i had was the bed was alittle uncomfortable as it is two... More

Arriving at 1669 was a wonderful surprise as I'm not renowned for my luck with hotels / B and Bs! The building itself is a beautiful Bruges town house which has been beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Room with a View and it was absolutely stunning - huge big wooden beams, wooden floors and lots of lovely touches. The... More

What a lovely central B&B. Great location, beautifully furnished place to stay in Bruges. We had the loft room and it was perfect with a deep bath and plenty of room to spread out. Breakfast was quietly understated and you just ring a bell if you want some eggs etc. The owner keeps herself to herslef but if you need... More

The location of the B&B is very central. The only thing you have to take into consideration is that you sleep next to a church, so the bells might wake you up in the morning. But during the night it's very quiet. The room was absolutely wonderful, the hostess was very friendly, the breakfast was royal. Everything you need for... More
