Apologies for the late review; we stayed in April '14. Perfect location. Superb room. Bike friendly. Excellent food. Would seriously recommend this fantastic B&B to anyone. You even get tourists taking pictures of the building all day long.

We spent 4 nights in 1669 and we enjoyed just everything about the place. The location is just ideal - in the city center but quiet, on one of the cathedral square. The place is extremely authentic and very stylish. I liked spending an hour in the evening in the dining area reading journals on style & design, which this... More

I stayed here last night with my daughter, we were on a quick Christmas trip to Brugges. I couldn't rate this place to stay highly enough, set in a beautiful refurbished house built in 1669 the owners offered us a very warm welcome on arrival. We stayed in a Roof with a View room which was lovely with a bottle... More

We had the loft and I must say it's beautifully decorated. Breakfast was included and the location is perfect. The room was very spacious and has an antique look and feel. It's as though they had the entire B&B done by a professional interior designer. The only issue i had was the bed was alittle uncomfortable as it is two... More

Arriving at 1669 was a wonderful surprise as I'm not renowned for my luck with hotels / B and Bs! The building itself is a beautiful Bruges town house which has been beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Room with a View and it was absolutely stunning - huge big wooden beams, wooden floors and lots of lovely touches. The... More

What a lovely central B&B. Great location, beautifully furnished place to stay in Bruges. We had the loft room and it was perfect with a deep bath and plenty of room to spread out. Breakfast was quietly understated and you just ring a bell if you want some eggs etc. The owner keeps herself to herslef but if you need... More

The location of the B&B is very central. The only thing you have to take into consideration is that you sleep next to a church, so the bells might wake you up in the morning. But during the night it's very quiet. The room was absolutely wonderful, the hostess was very friendly, the breakfast was royal. Everything you need for... More

We found 1669 through Tripadvisor and everything we read was true. It's perfectly located and a beautiful, charming place. The owners are extremely sweet and helpful. They allowed us to store our bags after we checked out so we could visit the city without hauling luggage with us. The price was a bargain! My wife was especially excited about the... More

My husband and I had a few days stay in the attic room...it had everything we required and more. Close to the Cathedral - the bells do not ring during the night - conveniently located. Our hosts allowed us to leave our bags with them on check in and out days. The coffee machine is available all day and the... More

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful short break staying here. We have never found accommodation so welcoming and with so many wonderful touches. Everything oozes quality, the fine embroidered linen and top quality furnishings to the high end toiletries, not to mention the always smiling Olivier serving the eggs in the morning. Cynthia and Olivier are... More
