Bruges is a lovely city and Hotel Boterhuis is perfectly located for anyone wishing to be near, but not on top of, its cafes, museums and public buildings. The staff are friendly, the breakfasts appetising and the beds really comfy; really, really comfy. Our bathroom was huge and had two huge sinks. It was also clean. Our room was not... More

A comfortable hotel in a historic building, ideally situated close to the center of Bruges. Welcoming and helpful owners/ staff. My second stay there, and I would certainly stay there again if I return to Bruges.

Fantastic hotel for exploring Bruges. Location is fantastic being only 3 minutes away from the main market square, staff are friendly and helpful, our room was beautiful and spacious and there's a good breakfast included in the price. Can't fault it for the price.

This was a perfect hotel for our one night stay in Bruges; excellent location in the old town centre, lovely old building, spacious and characterful room, very pleasant and helpful staff, good breakfast. Lots of free information, maps etc available. Free wifi works well. If you are driving you can pay 12 euros to park close by, or go in the... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights over the Valentines weekend and absolutely loved the place. We booked a quadruple room which was absolutely huge and came complete with a roll top bath under a vaulted ceiling. Perfect location, great price for the room size and you get to stay in a very historic building. I really can't... More

. . . . inexpensive, small, centrally located hotel just a 3-4 minute walk from Market Square. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Excellent continental breakfast with freshly cooked eggs if wanted. Helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Spent three days in this Hotel which was conveniently situated in the centre of Bruges. Spacious accommodation in a tastefully modernized old building. Name means butter house where farmers brought their butter to be stored and taxed. Staff efficient and helpful. Excellent breakfast.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a short break in Bruges. It's clean and the breakfast is very sustaining to have only a light snack for lunch ready for dinner. Room was clean and airy and the hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the main square in Bruges.
