This was our second visit to the Royal Stewart having stayed here briefly in October 2012. Maggie welcomed us back like old family friends and as with our previous visit did everything she could to make our stay a success. We had the large front room which has so much character with the high ceilings antique furniture and pretty windows.... More

Tucked away in a nice area, this is a lovely place to be. There is a little bar 50yards away at the top of the road and the center of bruge is a pleasant 10 min stroll away. Maggie is the perfect host, rooms are clean and large. Cheaper than other big hotels and it will give and other hotel... More

We stayed in the blue room. Everything was great. The breakfast was nice and yummy, served in a nice room facing a garden. The room looked really nice. Maggie was also really nice and her recommendations were really helpful. The location is in the center, but still quiet. Staying there as a pleasant and memorable experience.

I stayed in the single room on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. The room was a beautiful lavender blue, very calming to arrive to after a day and a half of flights and train rides! So much has been said about Wonderful Maggie, and it is all TRUE. She was always smiling and helpful and gave great reviews on... More

We loved our room on the third floor of this wonderful little bed and breakfast hotel. Our hostess Maggie was a delight and she made sure we knew of the best places to see and to dine. Parking is a problem if you arrive by car, but you can safely park at the train station for about 3 euros per... More

We enjoyed our stay with Maggie ,at her B &B in a quiet part of the city, but only a few minutes walk from the center of the city. After a very satisfying breakfast,we were ready to walk the city and explore with Rick Steve's book as our guide.

What a wonderful experience! The Royal Stewart is located within a five-minute walk from the center of town in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed in a beautiful second-floor room with en suite bath that offered very comfortable beds in an old-world European setting. Maggie is an amazing host, as many other reviewers have noted. She was full of recommendations for... More

This is a great place to stay in Bruges. We stayed here in 2009 and have sent friends and family to The Royal Stewart. No one we sent has ever been disappointed. Our soon to be daughter-in-law traveled with us and she took our son to visit Maggie on their honeymoon. Maggie is a great hostess. She is willing to... More

As so many others have, I must start by praising Maggie's wonderful hostessing skills. Along with her spot-on recommendations, she went above and beyond, loaning one of her own coats to my mother, as it was quite windy, cold, and rainy during our visit. This made our visit so much better! The room we were originally scheduled to have was... More

Had a most enjoyable stay. Maggie is a great hostess, supplying a great breakfast, fabulous recommendations of sights, restaurants and stories to keep you entertained. The room was very cozy, with a kettle, tea and biscuits to enjoy when you get back from a busy afternoon of sightseeing. We had the only room that didn't have a bathroom in the... More
