3 girls stayed in the Empire Suite and it was perfect, the room had 2 bedrooms beautifully decorated, wonderful views of the canal in a quiet but central location. It exceeded all our expectations, Caroline the hostess was helpful, friendly and happy to share advice regarding the city. Highly recommended! more

We were unbelievably lucky to have been accommodated by Caroline in the Clair de Lune suite over a recent weekend in September. I (foolhardily) waited until the last minute to secure reservations in Bruges and once I started looking, I realized that the Huyze Hertsberge was really the only place I wanted to stay: It has the best location in... more

Just returned from a one-night stay at this fantastic guest house. I can't find enough superlatives to describe it - just perfect in every way! The location was excellent - very central, but very quiet. The hostess, Caroline, was totally charming and nothing was too much trouble for her. We had the Empire Suite and were all thrilled to bits... more

This place is just so lovely! The house and rooms are beautiful and spacious (we stayed in the attic room) and very tastefully decorated. The woman who runs it is so helpful and a wonderful hostess. This is clearly a labor of love for her and it shows at every step. Breakfast is excellent and the location is perfect. Even... more

We stayed here very recently and stayed in both suites - Charpente and Empire. Having a 3 year old with us we found the rooms to be very spacious and well set out out; not to mentioned beautifully decorated. As a tip though - the bigger family room Charpente has a staircase leading to the upper level twin beds -... more

I hesitated in writing this review because I do not want too many people to find Huyze Hertzeberge, otherwise we might find it full when we want to rebook! This gem of a family house is a genuine home from home, offering a warm welcome and real comfort without the guest being afraid to relax and enjoy the ambience. Guests... more

Caroline and Henk made us feel so welcome in this centrally-located, large private house, furnished with antiques and with its own sunny garden beside the canal. The bedrooms were exceptionally comfortable, and the breakfast must be the best in Bruges. Caroline was happy to advise on walks, tours, restaurants etc. so we should make the most of our memorable visit... more

We had a lovely stay at Huyze Hertsberge that made Bruges all the more enjoyable. The B&B is centrally located and in easy reach of all of the sights and many excellent restaurants and cafes. Caroline, the proprietress was warm, easy going, and welcoming. She was always available for advice and cheerfully answered any questions. Our room was large and... more

We stayed at this B&B in Feb 06 after reading the reviews and contacting Cote Canal (currently 1st place in the list of top B&Bs in Bruges). As far as I can tell they are the same place so pick either, you will not be disappointed. The B&B is in a great location, sitting right on a canal and within... more

This was my boyfriend and I's first trip to Bruges and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The Huyze Hertsberge is a stunning house and Caroline (the owner) was an amazing host. We stayed in The Suite La Charpente - the room was spacious and beautifully decorated - it was hard to leave our room in the mornings! Meeting the house's movie... more
