The location is just on the outskirts of Brugges. Was a really nice stay. The sleep quality was really good as everything was so peaceful. The room was clean and spacious with a tv and ensuite, and our room had a door which led into the castle's chapel. Breakfast was good too.

We had a hard time finding the place, and it is hidden from the road, so be sure you have good directions! (detailed map or GPS) We arrived very late, and without reservations, but were given a choice of rooms. The castle is small, but full of history and charm. I could go on quite a bit about the ambiance,... More

We stayed in the Kasteel last October and enjoyed our one nigh stay there....the castle was magical and very charming...we wanted something unique and different and were very happy with this experience....the castle and grounds were beautiful....we drove there in the night and found it with a little bit of a struggle....they were nice enough to give us some food... Our family of 5 spent an entire month in Europe and Belgium was one of 5 countries visited. When researching this trip of a lifetime, I wanted our family to stay in locations that were authentic and not so close to all of the touristy areas so we could experience true local activities. When I first came upon this location,... More

Overall the experience was truly magical. Walking up the path to the castle was like something from a fairy-tale. The grounds of the castle are gorgeous. The interior of the castle was simply majestic. Our stay was one of which will be remembered for a lifetime. Our one disturbance to an otherwise epicurean experience was our second morning when we... The phrase 'what could have been' comes to mind when describing this venue. We arrived on our first day to find the room that had been allocated to us did not match the booking we had made online. We were subsequently moved to another room that did not have a self contained en suite that meant we had to walk... More

I stayed here only last weekend and must say how sadly disappointed I was. Living in an old cottage dating to 1840 I really do love old buildings and history which was one of the key reasons for choosing this accommodation. I am fortunate enough to travel around the world with work and have stayed in some very different hotels/... More

We stayed at Kasteel ten berghe recently and to be honest I must say that overall we were very disappointed. The website and information given is rather misleading. This accommodation is actually a Bed and Breakfast arrangement and not a hotel and subsequently the service and facilities very basic, such as no receptionist throughout most of the day/night, no daily... We stayed at the Hotel 2 weeks ago. We love history and old architecture so we wanted to stay two days close to Bruges and this looked like the place for us. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but with the car you are in the center of Bruges in a couple of minutes. The rooms are beautifull,... More

Kasteel ten Berghe is a 19th century renovation of a medieval castle. It has all (or almost all) you expect from castle: a donjon, family portraits everywhere, lake around with ducks, period furniture, a chapel. Even wine cellars and vaults I would expect there (yet did not visit). At the same time it has all modern comfort features. Rooms are... More
