The location is superb, views from our room memorable and generally had it been sold and priced as a 3 star hotel I would find little fault. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived late only to find that we could not access the hotel, we rang the hotel number to be told that someone would arrive in 10 minutes, around 40 minutes later a woman arrived in a car, it then transpired that she was extremely drunk and incoherent. We stayed here two nights, thats enough.fab location but room tatty....furniture varied and in pour condition and decoration not good...wallpaper coming off in places. breakfast poor with stale rolls and very little choice. more

The room was very ordinary - pokey, smelled of cigarette smoke (as did all of the linen) and the cleanliness was highly questionable. At €92 for a single it was very poor value. Didn't give it a 'terrible' as the public areas - restaurant/foyer were OK. Good location, but I'm getting tired of paying for just that. more

we decided to stay here lulled by the fabulous location what a mistake.Room shabby damp and cold.Only 1 girl working reception bar and restaurant. People who hoped to get served gave up and left. Have visited Bruges 7 times for new year,s eve staying at The Orangerie , which is our favourite, The Pand, and Oud Huis Amsterdam. This hotel... more

The situation of the hotel is great being right next to the canal just down from the central markt, we had a double room with a single bed for our daughter, the beds were 2 singles pushed together. But the room was clean and the staff friendly. Parking is extra 10E a day but it is secure and only 5... more

I agree completely with the other review of this hotel. We booked this hotel for a new year break with our friends for a 3 night break and were very disappointed when seeing our rooms. The furniture was very old and rickety. Our room smelt damp and cobwebs were hanging from the ceilings. The heating didnt work properly and lightbulbs... more
