We could not fault this place, situated in an old mansion very close the Markt. Breakfast is ample, , healthy and sets you up for the day. Fried eggs come in the shape of a heart. We stayed 3 nights during which the weather was terrible. But the this hotel provides a cosy refuge.

Such a lovely, cosy hotel. The rooms were so warm for this time of year and we cannot recommend Veronique highly enough! Upon check in she goes through the map of the hotel, pointing out places of interest. She provided such a tasty breakfast every morning that set us up for the day. With a stike on yesterday (Monday) she... More

A small and well run hotel. Veronique was a very helpful and hospitable hostess with good attention to details. She prepared a very good breakfast spread with a variety of quality food for her guests. The rooms were bright and well kept. She was very helpful with her recommendations on the places to eat and information on Bruges. This hotel... More

My partner and myself stayed at the Hotel Alegtia for the last week. We had a very enjoyable time with Veronique being a fantastic hostess. Her level of commitment to our comfort was second to none. Her attention to detail as well as her advice and experience on all things Brugge was exemplary. At breakfast both European and non- Europeans... More

The Hotel Alegria was a 15-minute walk from the train station (Station Brugge) and is situated on a quiet street within walking distance of main sights in Bruges. The room was simply decorated but some of the fixtures and furniture slightly worn. We found the bed and pillows to be extremely uncomfortable. The room and bathroom were okay but looked... More

This hotel is located in old town where people can walk around or take sightseeing bus for city tour. For eating-out, it's not difficult to find where to eat. This hotel is small and old-styled building. That should be aware that only small luggage is carried because you have to bring luggage upstairs (no elavator). On check- in ,the woman... More

Recommended! A beautiful hotel - clean, stylish & a very friendly welcome - we were given excellent local knowledge on restaurants nearby, all of which were excellent / as described. We just spent a wonderful four nights at the Alegria. This was our fifth time staying there. It meets our every need. It has a great location. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is outstanding and the owner, Veronique,is charming and very welcoming. We shall return. It is the only place we consider when we go to Brugge.
