A friend and I stayed two nights at the Anselmus. It was very central; just a few minutes walk from the Burg and Markt squares. The owner was friendly, courteous and helpful. We were able to book in early but if the room had not been ready, we could have left our luggage there. We had a comfortable room which... More

My wife and I just spent three days over Christmas in beautiful Bruges. We have visited Bruges many times but never stayed overnight and had never been there during the festive season. The city was even more beautiful than during the summer months, but of course was cold. I researched hotels online and selected the Anselmus, mainly for its location... More

We spent a fantastic New year at the Anselmus. It has a perfect location for all the main areas. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the owners are friendly and very helpful, we had a lovely continental breakfast in the morning which set us up for the day ahead. The rooms are well proportioned and with good facilities, although like other hotels... More

Wasn't as impressed as many in all honesty. It is a 3-star hotel, which means in actuality, there isn't a lunch or evening meal, there's no bar and the reception isn't permanently staffed. You can order food and drinks and drink in the lobby area but that's not quite the same thing. The location is pretty good being about just... More

We have just had a festive break in this lovely hotel. It is in the perfect location. The owners were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and very comfortable beds. Would highly recommend.

Lovely small family hotel in a great location a few minutes from main square. Staff friendly and helpful. Warm, clean, cosy and comfortable. Nice breakfast selection. Would have liked a stand up shower option.

We stayed here for three nights with our daughter in a triple room. We arrived late in the evening from the tunnel, and were met with a warm welcome. We opted for the extra cost parking which , at this time of year, was well worth every penny. Our car was in a very secure garage a 200 yard walk... More

We read reviews before booking and like every one else try and decide whether any negative opinions are valid. Put any doubts aside this is a lovely hotel in a great location and the staff do everything to make your stay a fantastic experience. They gave us a map of the city and helped point us in the right direction... More

Three of us cycled to Bruges and stayed here for 2 nights in October in a spacious triple room. It is in a great location close to the centre of town but in a quiet road so a perfect location. We were able to store bikes in an outer lobby that was locked at night but seemed safe during the... More
