Clean and recently refurbished rooms and bathrooms. Great location close to the station. Staff is friendly and helpful, always have a recommendation for a night out and eating. They have a bar with great beer and a self-catering kitchen. I will go back on Bruges

Great location - right in the city centre. Newly renovated rooms. No lifts but this didn't present a problem to me. Great staff - helpful with what to do, where to eat, etc. Join the free walking tour (donations appreciated) organised by the hostel. Highlight of my entire trip was playing street football with some local kids right outside.

This hostel was decent, the location is pretty good as its close to the city centre. Staff are somewhat friendly and helpful but i have treated with way better people attending at hostels, rooms are small but didnt have any other bigger problem.

I would definitely recommend the Lybeer. We arrived late and night tired and weary from a day exploring Brussels and were checked in in no time. The room was clean and there was plenty of room for us four girls. Breakfast had plenty of juice and some cheese, ham and hard-boiled eggs which gave a bit of a boost to... More

This was a place that our friends picked out. He had stayed there several years earlier. It was easy to find once we figured out the map of the city. Just a few minutes from the parking garage. Once checked in we climbed very narrow stairs down a couple narrow hall ways to our rooms. The "double" room was small,... More

On paper this hostel looks good! Also it attracts a good crowd of people and the communal area is really sociable. The location is perfect walking distance from the station and the city centre! We did however have problems during our stay. Our room had not been renovated and the bunk bed railing was broken. Not very safe but luckily... More

Imagine that I never stay in hostel before, instead at least 3 star hotels were my preference. However, after my first solo trip, this hotel enchanted me in many ways e.g activities it provided i.e. free walking tour and so on. The room is clean and sheets are free and no hidden charge. WIFI was superb. the reception was so... More

The staff at this hostel made us feel so welcome on arrival and carried on being friendly throughout our trip. We booked an extra 2 days here, attracted by the cheap prices of rooms and the beer. Had a great last night with staff members and hostel guests where everyone bonded over beers and cheesy music. A couple minute walk... More

4 of us entered the hostel at approximatley 8pm on the Sunday evening. No-one about, no receopitonist, no-one in the bar. After looking around we found a few towels and bed sheets with a little envelope containing a key with 'Josh' written on it. Anyone could have stolen that! We assumed it was for us, went to our room and... More

This hostel is quite nicely decorated but looks like they are halfway through renovating (hopefully they'll do the banister of the stairs next as its pretty knackered) which is probably why there were bare wires hanging out of the wall and no curtain in our room. The matresses were pretty worn and there was often no toilet rolls in the... More
