My advice is No, No, No! In the unfortunate event your belongings are stolen in the hotel, be aware the hotel insurance will not re-fund you a penny and also the hotel management will not provide you any kind of support. Thefts are not so infrequent when you travel in Europe and Bruges area is no exception. Therefore, because bad... more

I was wondering what I was going to, given all the anxieties of many reviews. Fortunately, the majority of them are unfounded. The Campanile is hidden form the main road, and it didn't help that our SatNav (Mio, from Belgium!) directed us off via the opposite exit of the roundabout, even if it was only 50m out. However, we ended... more

Stayed here last week of November 2008, was a bit unsure after reading the reviews on here but was pleasently surprised. Very friendly and welcoming staff, check-in was very quick and easy and was able to give easy to follow directions to the nearest supermarket. The car park had plenty of car parking which was nice - considering parking in... more

We normally stay at Campaniles when in Europe, as they all have car parking and are of a good standard. Bruges was no exception. All the usual features, but more expensive than others - at Gouda in Holland for example -. Of note. The bar was closed by 10pm last night (Friday) and reception didn't open until 8.00am on Saturday.... more

Booked by telephone and asked the chap if SatNav would find it easily - "Oh Yes" he said - "Oh No" was what I found ! My usually clunky but accurate Garmin 2610 proudly displayed a Hotel symbol - but could we find it ?! Wish I'd read the reviews. Anyway....... Good peaceful location, tidy comfortable room. A rather morose... more

Before we left home I put the postcode and street into mappy.com and viamichelin.com. We got within a stones throw of the hotel and then ran into all sorts of problems! So beware. Don't rely on Internet directions. Just come off the autoroute from Ostende/Dunkerque at the Loppem exit, up the N397 to St Michiel area, cross the expressway and... more

Booked this hotel for two rooms quite a while back and to be honest the hotel was pretty much empty when we were there. The rooms are in a block separate from the reception and restaurant/breakfast room. If travelling by car then watch out if you are using a sat-nav. At the roundabout on Koning Albert Laan and heading into... more

In so many ways the 'hotel' did not match what was set out in brochures 'Modern'; not very 'clean and tidy-' bedroom and bathroom dirty ( My wife had to wash the bathroom and bedroom floors on our arrival), sheets had to be replaced on one bed. The room retained a musty smell throughout our 3-night stay and there was... more

We arrived at the hotel on a sunday, last month, and were told the resturant would be closed that night, no problem there as we were going for a day trip. On getting back to the hotel we couldnt get the heating to work in the room so I went to reception. The front door was locked and all the... more

We stay at the hotel on a fairly regular basis, its reasonably priced and you know what you are getting. The rooms are spread over two floors, some rooms overlook the car park the other the garden area. The traffic nearby should not be a worry as the glass is heavily insulated. The room we stayed in was basic but... more
