This hotel is simply terrific. The building is a mansion with large bedrooms and baths, a sumptuous breakfast room, and a plush living room. Our room overlooked the gardens and was quiet except for the calling of birds in the morning. The bathroom was large, clean and well maintained. The breakfasts had pretty standard offerings for N. Europe but high... More

Located within the old city walls of Brugge, an area about one mile wide and two miles long defined by a ring of canals, the Patritius Hotel is well located to explore this lovely area. Although the streets are somewhat narrow, driving to the hotel is relatively easy (if you have a good map or GPS, one that shows the... More

We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Patritius in July 2015, and could not have been more pleased with our choice of hotel. We felt very welcomed by the owner, who was always very helpful. It felt like a small family-run place, which was great. The hotel is in an older building that is very well kept. It has older furniture which... More

We have loved being at Hotel Patritius! Our room was on the 3rd floor and absolutely amazing! Large room - beautifully decorated with a tub! We had breakfast in a beautifully decorated room with crystal chandlers and fresh roses! We had eggs, pastries, juice, fresh cut fruit and cereal. We were impressed with the coffee/tea maker. It could grind the... More

This Hotel is run by a friendly couple. It is located a short five minute walk from Market Square. The hotel has a few parking spots available for a modest charge. Be sure to reserve one in advance if needed. Breakfast was modest, I've better at most locations in Europe, but it was enough to get you going in the... More

Two minutes walk from the magnificent square in the centre of Bruges you can relax in the peaceful garden of the Hotel Patritius. The hotel is a lovely old mansion with most of the original fittings. The hotel is spotless, the rooms delightful and the family always attentive and helpful yet around the corner is the bustle of Bruges. We... More

This lovely hotel is in a quiet area of the old city, yet only a short, cobbly walk from the sights and restaurants of Bruges. (Not a short walk from the train station, however; take a taxi if that's how you arrive.) The public areas are beautiful, reflecting the heritage of the building as a 19th-century mansion, and the room... More

Our first visit to Bruges included a stay at this property. Though not particularly close to the train station, the taxi ride wasn't bad. The attractive building is located in a quiet section of town within easy walking distance of the main tourist area and many fine restaurants. The staff was lovely and extremely helpful. The rooms were spacious enough... More

We don't give out five stars very often. Something about the cordiality of the owners, the restoration of the building, and the charm of Bruges itself made this hotel stand out. Things started out well when the taxi driver at the train station said, "Ohhh, Patritius is a nice hotel." Room 21 is a 'superior' double room facing the street.... More

This is the second time we've stayed here and it is a lovely small hotel - centrally located, comfortable rooms, good breakfast and excellent value for money. It has a pretty garden for guests to enjoy and there is parking at a small charge. Highly recommended.
