Stayed here for a weekend in July 2014. wasn't disappointed! Hotel was lovely (only 8 euros in taxi from train station) and staff there were very helpful. Loved the building's original features and how it was furnished! Very close to the canals, fish market and main square in Bruges. was so easy to get your bearing and find your way... More

Excellent small hotel in characterful building dating from early 1600s. Very central location and only a few minutes walk to all key points of interest. Good, inclusive breakfast. Lovely courtyard garden when weather permits, not on this occasion.

Enjoyed a comfortable 4 day stay in this small charming quiet hotel that provides a different experience to your larger modern alternatives. Staff are attentive and helpful, the breakfast is adequate and varied with both hot and cold food in an airy breakfast room looking out onto the courtyard garden. We chose a superior room which was large and packed... More

The hotel lives up to the earlier reviews ... it is comfortable with an accommodating and gracious staff. We had the cheap rooms in the upper floors so were not privy to the frescoes mentioned in another review, but the rooms are still very nice - spacious with high ceilings and exposed beams, a large bathroom, safe, refrigerator, water kettle,... We had an overnight stay in this quaint little hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but comfortable. The lift is not for the fainthearted. Breakfast: bacon, eggs and sausages were cold.

It is hard to find a fault with this beautiful hotel. Location is great only 5 minutes from the main square. Hotel has fantastic character. Rooms are large and decorated with wall and ceiling paintings. The hotel has a beautiful garden where you can sit and relax. The breakfast was the best we have experienced in ages. Staff couldn't do... More

The historic aspect to the hotel is played up, which I very much appreciate. It is very well-located--close to a car park and to all the main sights. My room was very nice, on the back and overlooking the garden. Staff were very nice. Breakfast in the dining room was nice also--good choices and helpful staff. All in all, a... More

Wonderful stay at Jan Brito. The hotel is very close to the main sights but far enough away to be nice and quiet. The staff are very polite and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was comprehensive. We especially liked the view into the walled garden from the breakfast room.

I am not one for essays so here is my review in bullet form: - good location for everything you would want in Bruges - very nice staff with a special commendation for Alexandra on reception for helping us with our travel plane when the Belgian rail strike was on on 30 June. - stayed in a standard "Knight" room... Beautiful residence from the 16th century in the middle of the old centre. Very kind employees, excellent breakfast... Our room was on the second floor. It was small but cozy. Very nice bathroom with a bathtub.
