While not in the thick of the city, it took us about 10-15 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go. Away from the crowds, there aren't many restaurants in the immediate area but this little hotel provided a list of places nearby that they recommended. We enjoyed almost all from their list. The rooms are modest. Clean, lots of... More

We arrived after a long drive to a very welcoming introduction from Rik. We were ushered into our room, which was very big and had a large bathroom. The clean and cute first floor room looked out to the canal. Luckily, there was a nice portable air conditioner in the room to keep us cool. The parking was full when... More

On a wonderful canal, this very old, charming building has large rooms and big windows, and the price was very good. Although it's only five minutes from the main square, it was lovely and quiet, and we don't hesitate to recommend it--with one exception. Bruges was experiencing a heat wave--in the 90s--and although our room had a small fan and... More

I wasn't sure if this was going to be too far out of town, but I needn't have worried. It was a short walk to the centre, but beautifully quiet. I especially liked the swimming platform which was located in the canal next to the hotel. Go for a double room with a canal view and take advantage of their... More

An absolutely wonderful place to stay!! I read the rating of people who found the hotel average just to understand the issues. Yes, no air conditioning, yes not the standard United States shower setup, yes no 46" flat-screen TV... But you don't go Bruges with the hope of it being just like the US. If you want "just like the... More

Comfortable hotel in a quiet area of Bruges, yet only a ten-minute walk from the centre. Rooms large and airy, good breakfast with plenty of choice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only slight downsides being the slightly cramped breakfast lounge and the slightly dated bathrooms. However, if we return to Bruges, we shall certainly make this hotel our first choice.

Hotel Adornes was a lovely hotel. Rik at the front desk was very helpful. He is a local to Bruges and can suggest some nice dining places and things to do; some of them are free. They offer free bikes which is nice. My husband and I rode up to Damme. We did this at about eight at night. You... More

We greatly enjoyed our time at Hotel Adornes. The location overlooking the canal was so beautiful! The hotel is perfectly situated to be able to walk along the canals, and to the centrally located Market area, and to restaurants. We used bikes from the hotel to bike to the village of Damme one day, and the hotel staff was very... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay. Great quiet convenient location, good facilities,(free Wi-Fi, free bikes, lots of advice) very nice staff, tasty breakfasts, comfy beds, hot water - and excellent parking. What more do you need?! Wish we had been staying longer.
