This is a wonderful hotel and provides great value to its guests. We stayed 3 nights in a bright, clean, and cheerful room on the 2nd floor. We had a view of the side street and the canal, through tall, large windows. The hotel is ideally and quietly located on a canal, within a 4 minute walk of all the... More

We stayed for one night - lovely room #8 on first floor overlooking the canal. No a/c so needed to leave windows open which meant somewhat noisy due to traffic. Note that it was unseasonably hot when we visited. Hearty European breakfast included was excellent. The staff are truly fabulous. Free loaner bikes were a great way to get around... More

Our family of 5 stayed in 2 rooms for 1 night in July. The hotel was clean, quiet and very accommodating. Everyone we meet at the front desk was helpful. Rik even brought tea to our room after returning from town for the night. It was a short walk to the center of town and the free parking was nice.... More

This hotel was lovely. The list of activities at the front desk was very helpful. The breakfast was wonderful: pastries, cheese, meats, boiled eggs, cereal, toast, fruit and juices. The coffee was very good. Our room faced the canal and had a great view. We would have loved to try the bikes, but the weather during our stay was not... More

I was travelling back from the Alps on Motorbike and the weather was mid 30s and uncomfortable at low speeds. So we decided to blast straight up the motorway to Brugge as its close to the Ferry terminal at Zeebruge. I called the wife and asked her if she could find us any accommodation as I knew it would be... More

In Brugge it can be a challenge to navigate the streets to find things, most tourists I spoke with while I was in Brugge had their “we got lost trying to find the hotel” story and even though I had a map I still made the occasional wrong turn. I walked from the train station because I wasn’t in a... More

While not in the thick of the city, it took us about 10-15 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go. Away from the crowds, there aren't many restaurants in the immediate area but this little hotel provided a list of places nearby that they recommended. We enjoyed almost all from their list. The rooms are modest. Clean, lots of... More

We arrived after a long drive to a very welcoming introduction from Rik. We were ushered into our room, which was very big and had a large bathroom. The clean and cute first floor room looked out to the canal. Luckily, there was a nice portable air conditioner in the room to keep us cool. The parking was full when... More

On a wonderful canal, this very old, charming building has large rooms and big windows, and the price was very good. Although it's only five minutes from the main square, it was lovely and quiet, and we don't hesitate to recommend it--with one exception. Bruges was experiencing a heat wave--in the 90s--and although our room had a small fan and... More
