Great hotel, excellent location but the best bit is the staff. Upon leaving the hotel we realised we had a flat tyre...our spare was also flat. The hotel owner drove us to the petrol station to pump it up which was amazing. Then, when we couldn't get the old tyre off he drove us to a nearby tyre shop...this didn't... More

This hotel is superbly located on a lovely old street, five minutes walk from the train station and to the centre. The staff are friendly and informative, and the rooms are modern and spacious. My only quibble was that the breakfast didn`t,for me, live up to expectations, and to make matters worse, there were no belgian chocolates to be seen!... More

Very well situated with friendly and helpful staff. We only stopped for one night and left just before breakfast started (7.30am) so did not make use of many of the facilities, however our ground floor room was well equipped with TV and fridge. The room was spacious and clean with a good sized bathroom too. Once I mastered the shower... More

My wife and I stayed at The Acadamie Hotel in Brugges, Sunday 24th August this year. After quite a tiring journey, unfortunately the hotel car park was full, but the receptionist gave us a map to help us find a nearby public car park, which we did and it was only nine euros for overnight parking. The hotel is centrally... More

Well located between train station and city centre, Hotel Academie is a large commercial hotel in a tourist town. We found the reception staff to be very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet had a good selection including soya milk. The room was spacious and clean, good WiFi, however I did find the shower was almost cold by 10am.... More

5 minute walk to central square. everyone else reviewing here must walk really slow. friendly reception staff. Gave us a map of the town and places to see. room really nice. just outside are plenty of cafes and nice restaurants. 10 min walk to central station where parking is 3.50 euros for 24 hours so as long as you don't... Stayed for 3 nights in June room was large and very clean. Shower which is important to me was hot and powerful. Breakfast was excellent and staff were kind and always available for assistance. I would stay here again on my return to Bruges in the future.

I strongly agree with others that this hotel is at best a three star, not a four star hotel. My experience might have been better if I did not have an attic room which was very small and the shower was almost unusable due to the slant of the roofline. Do avoid these rooms at all cost. Also, I thought... More

Lovely little hotel, great location, 10 mins walk from the main areas but bruges is small so if a hotel is central then most will be Helpful and friendly staff We were a group of 3 girls so got a triple room, think they called it family room Plenty of space and made for 3 people unlike some people who... We have just returned from a 3 night break in Bruges (Riviera Travel) and found this hotel to be very conveniently situated with some excellent restaurants and a very pleasant bar nearby. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfasts were adequate and the only real criticism was the coffee at breakfast was awful which was a... More
