We stayed at Hotel Academie for a three night break mid-March 2015. The hotel is in an excellent location and is of a very good standard. The breakfast was very nice with a great choice of cooked food, pastries, breads, cereal, fruit etc. We did have an issue in our room as the heating was not working. The very helpful... More

An excellent hotel in the lovely Begijnhof/Lake of Love district. It is only 10 minutes walk from centre (market Square), and about the same from the station, where you can park your car for just €3.50 per day. The hotel also has its own underground car park, charging €15 per night. Our room was on the 3rd floor, but the... More

This hotels location can not be beaten as a base in Bruges. Would highly recommend! Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was average and quite crowded early morning. Reception staff helpful. A famous person was there the same time as us too so cant be bad!

Couldn't fault the Academie. Location, room, staff - all excellent. Parking and breakfast both expensive, but overall well worth it . Would certainly choose this hotel on any future trip to Bruges. Totally satisfied all round.

I was in the magical city of Bruges for 2 days in February with 4 other female friends. We stayed in this hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and spoke English fluently. My friend and I got a room with a small balcony overlooking the garden. I can imagine that being a beautiful view... More

Clean and convenient base to explore this lovely city. Had fantastic weather which always helps and had the great start of a very comprehensive breakfast spread with enough choice for everyone, from fruit, cereal, toast and warm cooked choice. Very attentive reception and bar staff gave good service. Stayed 3 nights on Riviera Travel break via Eurostar and would highly... More

Our room overlooked the courtyard and was lovely and quiet, very clean and had everything you needed. The bathroom was new and very well decorated. We travelled with Riveria Travel who arranged the holiday. They again were excellent. Our... More

Excellent reception staff. Really nice rooms. Shame about only getting one teabag and one coffee sachet per day and no milk but having read reviews before we went we had taken out own and then bought some milk in Carafour down the road which we kept in the fridge in the room. Great beer prices around 3 euros cheaper than... More
