Very pleasant 3-star hotel; clean, comfortable, quiet location within easy reach of everywhere. Pleasant staff and a good buffet breakfast. The rooms overlook a quiet side street, and a canal (also quiet - not used by the boat trips). The room was a good size; the bathroom had a full-sized bath, as well as the shower. BBC News amongst the... more

We stayed for four nights at the hotel and enjoyed it very much. It was very clean, tidy and well appointed for a three star hotel. We also benefited from a very good deal using a booking agency which gave three nights for the price of two (if you arrived on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday) and no extra fee. Too... more

We wanted somewhere with character (ie not an international chain), quiet location but in the City Centre, that wouldn't break the bank. This scored on all counts. Five minutes walk to the main square but in a quiet backwater, our rooms had views over a canal. The traditional cold buffet breakfast was fine, and there were plenty of nearby bars... more

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hotel. Close to the centre of Brugge. Room large and comfortable. You must try the local tavern "Terrastje". Turn right out of hotel walk down the canal path right at the top and its about 25yds on the corner of Genthof. Good meals at a sensible price... excellent owners Ian and Patricia. So what with... more

o.k. Lets decide what we all want from a city hotel. Clean , quiet , friendly , comfortable , central location , good breakfast and reasonably priced. My wife and I have just returned from the Bryghia , having stayed for 3 nights in room 35 (canal view) and in our opinion this hotel ticks all the boxes. One tiny... more

Four of us stayed here for a 4 night break in May 2008 and really couldn't fault the hotel. Having read through the previous reviews the main bones of contention seemed to be with regards to the Breakfast and the location of the hotel. Personally I think the location was brilliant. How people can complain about a walk of less... more

My husband and I stayed in Hotel Bryghia for 2 nights with our 15 year old son. The hotel is in a quiet location with a 7-10 minute walk to the main square (Markt). The hotel itself was very clean and the room was very large. We were on the 4th floor and relied on the lifts quite a bit.... more

We had a four day stay here in April 2008. As we intended to spend little time in the Hotel we opted for a room without a canal view, in hindsight we think this was a wise choice. The room was comfortable, clean and of adequate size and was basically what we expected having read the reviews. Breakfasts were good,... more

We have just returned from an excellent City Break in Bruges, Belgium. We stayed at the Bryghia Hotel and have no complaints whatsoever. We paid a little extra for a canal view room, ( room 28 on the 1st floor) and was worth every penny. The room was a good size, full size over bath shower, mini bar, tea &... more
