Have stayed at this gem quite a few times over the years. Nice clean, modern Flats and studios. If there are two or more of you travelling then this is probably the most cost effective self catering option in Brugge. The resteraunt is very well priced and the food superb, with very friendly hosts. Not to be missed are the music nights.

Very central and well located. It gives any traveller feeling of being a Brugge Resident. Very comfortable and Well equipped - everything works. Dining Room window gives views of historical belfry church an also the rest of city.
Owner Erik Broos is a warm gentleman. Will treat you real special in his restaurant. Very helpful with useful tips around the town.
The washing machine facility was very useful especially for a family travelling from far.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a great value for money , roomy family accommodation in Brugge.

We stayed in on of the self catering appartments at Lokkedize over New Year 2009 and had a wonderful trip. The location is excellent - just a minutes walk from one of the squares but on a side street, so very quiet.

The apartment was clean, well equipped, warm, modern and lovely. Highly recommended. Also, there is a great bar on the ground floor owned by the same people. Lovely ambiance and relaxed atmosphere.

Stayed with friends in the two bedroom apartment and couldnt fault anything. A warm welcome from the owner who gave us some great advice for our visit. Large apartment with one small double and one large double, both with comfy beds and lovely big windows. Well equipped kitchen and lounge, for the money it was exceptional. We ate in the restaurant downstairs which was also great. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of the best pubs and sights. T Brugs Beerjte, Cafe Rose Red and Ribs n Beer are a must! Already planning our return visit!

We are a family of 4 (kids 17 and 14). We had the 2 bedroom apartment. It was great. Loved the beds, kids were at the other side of the apt. Kitchen very nice, huge apt. Computer, wifi, dvd, cable tv with some english channels. Close to everything. However some fans would have been nice in the bedrooms at night. It is loud at night as sounds echo down the narrow streets, and the restaurant kitchen is across the street. So having the window open for cooling made it tough to get to sleep before midnight. Very clean and was missing nothing. Would recommend it to anyone

Our stay at the apartment was well worth it. Its location is just a walking distance to the beautifulhistory rich brugge centre. The host/owner was very welcoming. But just so you know, the rooms are somewhat small, we are a family of 3. The utensils will serve your purpose but an upgrade will be more welcome. But pls request for single large beds if thats ur preference. Apartment are very few in brugge, so this is a good place to stay. In between, I love bruge/bruges/brugge..... whichever you like to call it.

Our apartment on the first floor was central, large and comfortable with a quirky, student-like interior. Shower not great and very difficult to wash long hair in. Also ran hot and cold.

On our first night, a group checked into the apartment above us at midnight and proceeded to run riot until 4am. On the second night they came in very drunk at 3am and carried on until 4am. This included smashing up items in the property, including a large mirror that went flying down the stairs. I contacted the owver to complain and he was apologetic but basically said tthere was nothing he could do about guests' behaviour - I disagree.

Another problem included the usual credit card facilities 'breaking' and only being able to accept cash. I'm not sure this problem extened to the bar next door that also belonged to the same owner... No offer to do a manual payment. I asked for a receipt and had to show the guy how to write on as he 'never been asked for one before'.

Disappointing as it was a great location and good apartment. Wouldn't return.

We were so delighted upon entering our 2 bedroom flat on a wintry, rainy night in Bruges. Erik, the proprieter, was welcoming and helpful, carrying some of our baggage up the steep flight of stairs all the way to the top floor (be prepared for steep and narrow staircases when traveling in the Netherlands, too). I would hesitate to book this place with elderly people and young children just for that reason but for us it was fine. The apartment was super spacious and very comfortable with a full kitchen and the beds were great, not too hard or too soft. Skylights in both bedrooms add to the coziness. After a long day of walking all over this small, very old, very beautiful city we were so happy to get back to our digs. Located on a quiet street. There is also a very inviting pub run by the same folks. Great beer!

If you've ever frequented the bars of Greenwich Village in NYC you will appreciate this super local bar tucked away on a quiet street. The owner is a world traveler and musician. You'll feel instantly at home and have a unique peek at where the locas go to drink away from tourists. Just great!

Anyone who travels with kids knows how cramped and expensive hotels can be. When planning our trip to Bruges I looked at hotels, B&B's, and self-catering options. I wanted a place where we could all be comfortable, within walking distance to the places we wanted to visit in the city and at a reasonable price. We got all of these at Lokkedize. Erik, the owner, was great when making the arrangements. He was very nice and easy to work with. We found everything to be exactly as he described.

The Lokkedize location is perfect. It is within walking distance of everything and is reasonably close to inexpensive parking. We are a family of 4 but a family of 5 or 6 could be just as comfortable. We had 2 bedrooms a living room, bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen seemed to be well equipped although we didn't cook while there. Laundry facilities are also available. It was so nice NOT be in a tiny cramped hotel room. Some of the fixtures are worn. It is not all perfect shiny and new. However, it is large, clean and very reasonably priced. We all enjoyed having space and enough money left over to take advantage of some of the great tours, food and shopping opportunities available in Bruges. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lokkedize and would definitely stay again.
