We stayed here for 3 days in December. The Hotel is in is a fantastic old building. The staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant and if you needed anything they were only too happy to help. The room was ample and clean with an ancient wardrobe that looked like it should be in a museum. There was a chandelier... More

Dear Guest We thank you for your review. The fact that taking a shower is not possible (due to age and structure of the building) is mentioned in every profile of the hotel. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Maybe we can welcome you another time in the future! Kind regards Hotel Ter Brughe More

The welcome was very friendly. Our room was on the first floor - there are no lifts - the room was fairly spacious and was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. There was just a hand held shower attachment and no shower curtain. It would not cost much for the hotel to install a hook for the shower plus a... More

Nice hotel by the canal with a wonderful staff. I booked for a double bedroom with a canal view and it was fantastic view to get up in the morning. Staff was very helpful to guide and tell what places to see around and where to buy nice homemade belgium chocolates. Otherwise also very helpful and nice staff. The breakfast... More

Stayed in room 22, lovely canal views, nice bathroom, big TV, only downside was twin beds instead of a double. Good location (Bruges is quite small so everything is on hand really) and it's a beautiful old building. Breakfast was a buffet and was first rate. I would definitely stay again!

We had never been away over the Christmas holidays before. We decided on Bruges because of its proximity to the UK, quaintness and Christmas markets. We chose Hotel Ter Brughe as it had character and was on the canal. We were not disappointed. The Hotel was every bit as lovely as it looked in the pictures online. We booked via... More

Our first visit in June 2015 was so nice that we stayed again in December... in the same room!! A 10 minute walk from the main square, superior rooms and swans joining us outside the restaurant window for breakfast! Very enchanting and highly recommended

Lovely old hotel - well located - good breakfast. But the fact it is old means the walls are extremely thin, so it feels like you are sharing the room with your neighbours! A shame as we didn't sleep well during our stay and could really hear everything going on next door/ above us.

Stopped there for a night in order to visit the beautiful city of Bruges. Everything was perfect. The room had view on the canal, and bathtub. The breakfast was really good also, with view on the canal too. No elevator, but this old nice building being typical of Bruges that's easily forgivable.

We got to the hotel by taxi from the train station. This took less than 15 minutes and cost less than 13 euros. The Hotel Ter Brughe is architecturally beautiful, set on the bank of the canal, between two sets of bridges. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed with a lovely, large bathroom. There is a small well... More

We spent 2 nights at Ter Brughe visiting the Christmas markets. The hotel is in a beautiful location on the side of a canal and just 5 minutes walk from the main square. I had asked for a ground floor room as my wife is recovering from an ankle op and we were given a very spacious room just behind... More
