Was staying in the hotel for 3 nights. Location is lovely, simple but nice breakfast. The bathroom was absolutely horrible! Very small, with no space in the shower whatsoever. Shower itself quite powerfull, unfortunately the drainage system couldn't cope with it, and we had flooding there as a result! Fan wasn't working, so the bathroom was always damp and very... more

I was traveling solo and was impressed with this inn. The staff consisted of a husband and wife team and they were efficient, friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was fresh and delicious. The location is a walkable distance from every where in historic Bruges. The only negative was the small bathroom. I was guessing that the owners added the... more

the hotel is right on the canal and we had a room with a canal view. It was lovely to see the tour boats go past our windows as we got ready for a day out. We could also sit on the window's ledge with a Kriek Beer or two and watch the world pass after a busy day site... more

This hotel is situated in a beautiful peaceful area and the walk along the picturesque canal to and from the main square with sights such as the Belfort only takes approx 10 mins. The hotel room was on the small side but perfectly sufficient for our needs and absolutely spotlessly clean. Very bright, airy and pleasantly decorated. On suite bathroom... more

What a brilliant hotel. Just returned from a five day trip to Bruge, and the hotel was fantastic. Our sons booked the trip as a birthday present for my wife, and they couldn't have picked a better hotel. Brilliant location, it took us three and a half minutes to walk into Berg. Our sons paid extra for the canal view,... more

I have spent one night in this very nice, clean, small-scale hotel with my boyfriend in February 2009. Please take a look at the review of Christina2001; we had the same room as they and I agree with all the aspects she mentions. In addition: - shower size is ok, ceiling is quite low; water pressure + temperature is perfect... more

Same as most people have said about this hotel-small, but hey it's Europe. No one is kidding about the bathrooms. It appears they were added to the rooms post-construction and are are tiny shells (feels like you're on a boat!) Ask for a canal view on first floor. I wish we had but our view was still lovely. This hotel... more

I admit that other reviews had pointed out this drawback but i dismissed them as oversized Americans. I was wrong. The bathroom was impossible to use and I am average build. Sit on the toilet and your feet are in the shower. Try to use the sink and there's water all over the floor. Pull the shower curtain across and... more

We stayed at this hotel for a break over Christmas 2007. Our room was small with a teeny tiny bathroom but a lovely view over the canal. We were on the top floor so had one large windown which we could sit in and watch the canal. On Christmas Eve we lay with the window open listening to the Church... more

We went for a Valentine's break to Bruges and stayed at the Hotel ter Reiein. The hotel is in a fantastic loctation, 5 minutes walk from the main squares, sitting on one of the canals. Our room was small but clean, with comfortable bed and a lovely canal view. As others have mentioned, the bathroom is indeed tiny, but again... more
