best location. beautiful hotel. amazingly friendly staff. seriously, look no further, this is the hotel to stay at in Bruges.
My wife and I were on a Spring trip to Europe and had traveled by train through France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and we arrived in Bruges, Belgium for a 3 night stay. We had no hotel reservation so we entered the walled city searching for lodging. After being shown a few undesirable hotels, we saw the sign for...

Most of the time Tripadvisor is a very helpful tool but sometimes it can be badly misleading. How can anybody say that this is the N°1 hotel in Bruges, how on earth is this at all possible ? This is an second-class to average property with some very bad taste decor, some very nice staff, good housekeeping service, good free...

This was the worst 'luxury' hotel experience I have endured in 25 years of regular travel. It represented atrocious value for money.
The location is great, everything else was utterly underwhelming. Here's my list -
The main reception is dinghy with horrible piped music, I found the staff polite, but formulaic and lacking warmth. Check out the badly faded photos...

We were expecting great things after reading all the fabulous reviews here and we weren't disappointed. It was my husband's 60th birthday and I couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate. We had a lovely room with a walk-in shower and an amazingly comfortable bed (both ideal as my husband is disabled). We returned each night to a chocolate...

We chose Hotel Prinsenhof based on the Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. This small hotel is at a perfect location in Bruges, on a side street and very quiet (which was a treat after coming from Paris and Amsterdam). The staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast (though pricey) was very good. I would definitely recommend...

Nice and top quality hotel Such a location Design, artwork, the place to be for a night in Bruges
We had a perfect stay in early May. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I challenge anyone to find any dirt in this hotel. It's spotless. Beautifully located to explore the city but quiet enough to rest. I would return in a minute.
First, context setting for this hotel: Some years ago I asked one employee at the Ritz Carleton in Bali how he and his colleagues were unfailingly kind, attentive, attuned, concerned about apparently completely devoted to guests. He offered that in that country service to others was a privileged position, respected in their culture. Moreover, their work was sacred - an...

Booked a superior room for 3 nights. Room was small and had a wacky colour scheme of lime green, orange and red with dated dark brown furniture. There was a plate of fresh fruit in the room but some of it was rotting with a group of fruit flies happily buzzing around it. Bathroom was nice but cramped. Bed was...
