My wife and I spent three wonderful days and nights at this great hotel. The staff went overboard to assist us with our every need-recommendations for dinner, directions and bookings. The location is perfect- on a lovely quiet canal within walking distance of everything-just off the Markt Square. The room was spacious and well appointed, Ours had a private patio.... more

My boyfriend and I booked at Die Swaene as our first choice, the Pand Hotel was fully booked. After much research I agree with all the other reviews that this is a great hotel. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived by Stephanie and Fred, who gave us city maps, discount cards and restaurant guides.... more

My husband and I spent a 2 night Valentines break at this charming hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On arrival they parked our car for us in the carpark just across the canal and took our bags up to our room while we were given a short tour around the hotel. Our room was on the top... more

We stayed two nights in this lovely charming hotel and spent a very relaxing time, enjoying the secrets of Bruges, the excellent food of the Pergola Kaffee (on the other side of the canal), the memorable breakfeast buffet and the calm atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel staff is just great, efficient and helpful. The hotel is also well decorated... more

We spent last weekend in Bruges and we were very happy with our choice of hotel. Hotel Die Swaene is centrally located in the historical part of the town, yet very quiet and along one of the famous canals. Our room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated, beds were comfortable, turndown service very adequate. The staff was extremely helpful and... more

Hotel die swaene had been recommended to us by friends and we were absolutely thrilled. Our deluxe room no 34 met up to our expectations : spacious, well chosenfabrics, nice furniture, oak flooring and wonderful view on the canal. But most of all the ambiance of the hotel is special. Cosy bar and relaxing swimming pool and the pergolaKaffee severs... more

Well, the hotel is definitely tired a bit, I was wondering when reading that it's a member of "small luxury hotels of the world" - it's not exactly luxury what I found in Swaene. But it wasn't that bad either - especially taking into consideration the cheap rate I got : € 125,-. The room was big enough for me... more

The suite which we were staying in was very disappointing. The best you could say that it was spacious. Beyond that though it was exceptionally tired and dated. In a world where some truly fabulous boutique hotels are available, a hotel that boasts an uncomfortable bed, miniscule (very old) TV, bathroom with barely enough toiletries for one person, dated furnishings... more

I really loved this hotel! I adored everyone that worked there. They're so wonderful and they add a special touch of kindness and charm to everything they do. They would be happy to accommodate any request! The location was perfect. The rooms were spotless and large. The lobby/breakfast suite were warm and accommodating with a fantastic breakfast spread. The free... more

Although it is a SLH, they have a room without a mini-bar, and front desk does not realize they have such a room. You will be treated nicely if you stay in a premium room, but not so with a standard room. Our room doorway was often used as a temporary vacuum cleaner storage, and we had to step over... more
