We booked in for dinner at 8 pm. The table was good with a lovely view of the river. We were seated and given a menu. FIfty minutes later no one had taken our order. When we called a waiter over (he had terrible breath) he took our order. We asked for the wine list - hardly any choice, most... More

I write this about the restaurant as per the previous person. The quality of the food was good (apartfrom the deserts that were just boring) I was horrified to see the waiters at the end of the night putting the breadrolls BACK in thebread basket from side plates of tables that haven't been occupied. These shortcuts concern me. Service was... More

I write this review on the Restaurant only and can back a few of the bad comments made previously. I have been to this restaurant twice this year (April and December 2010) and the second time confirmed that the first time was a mistake (such a mistake that I wrote a pretty harsh email to management). The location is great... More

Best location in Bruges! We had a picturesque view over canal w/stunning vistas. That being said, the hotel is old and tired and is desperate for an update. Grungy baths and threadbare carpet and furnishings. Zero amenities even a Best western would have. Staff very nice and anxious to please. Nice breakfast inc. served in charming dining room w/2 walls... More

My wife and I stayed one night. Very scenic area. Our room was somewhat small, but exactly what we expected in this 1650's era building with several updates. The breakfast included was absolutely wonderful. The staff were attentive. Tour boats with loud speakers did pass by on occasion, but once the touristy crowds departed, all was well.

Location wonderful! Hotel has a good feel about it., Restuarant was enjoyable. Our room was nothing to bragg about. Overall a good fit. I would go back, just a little more in tune with the rooms.

Just in the heart of this medieval town everyone can feel enchanted (except Colin Farrell you must see a film before or after visiting the city :-) I don't think I could add any more useful information - or perhaps one tip: enjoy the breakfast in the tiny alcove above the water - their boiled eggs are just perfect :-)

Just returned from a two night stay at this overpriced hotel. Beware, it trades solely on its wonderful position overlooking the canal in the centre of Bruges. One room we were shown was almost uninhabitable (torn curtains, loose rugs, torn bedspread, broken down beds and bathroom fitting hanging off wall). we were told the room was due a refit but... I stayed for two nights with my husband in the hotel. Our room was very nice, with a spacious and modern bathroom and a wonderful view to the channel. The staff was very kind and helpful. The restaurant is great, the breakfast and the food are delicious! We had a wonderful time in the hotel!

My daughters and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. We fell in love with the Old World quality and the very friendly, incredibly gracious staff. Our room was a huge (and I mean HUGE) double that had two large beds plus a rollaway. There was also a very spacious sitting area that had a sofa, two chairs, and... More
