We stayed at this hotel on a weekend break in bruges. We found staff helpful and to the point but not very welcoming at all. The hotel is well situated close enough to the market square. Rooms was very small and bathroom so small you couldn't swing a cat in it. No tea or coffee making facilities for a four... More

Last June 25,2014, our group, pediatricians from the Philippines came here to stay while attending The 13th Pediatric Pulmunology Convention. We stayed in Portinari Hotel until June 30. At first, we were a little disappointed because of the tiny place. But as we stayed longer, we started to like the place which is centrally located in Bruges. By that, I... More

We had a short break in Bruges via Eurostar and this hotel is a good choice. Slightly away from the main area, but within easy walking distance the hotel is well kept and the bedrooms are nice. Breakfast is a continental buffet with some hot options so it was really good. Staff were pleasant but the bar and lounge are... More

We were travelling back from the Algarve and decided to end our trip in Bruges whilst on route back to the UK. It was a straight route into Bruges and the hotel, if of course you don't go under the under pass.... So if you travel by car ensure you don't and you will be straight there. The Hotel is... More

We decided to drop in have lunch at Tearoom Tommaso at Hotel Portinari. Bad decision, firstly had to walk to the kitchen and ask some one for a menu, the menu was not in English. I asked if they had an omelette and they said yes. I went back to the table out the front of the restaurant where my... More

We've travelled the world with our two young children. We've stayed in varied accommodation ranging from a 1 Euro/night room in Morocco to 5* hotels in Hong Kong and Chicago. All we expect is a basic level of cleanliness and an undisrupted night's sleep. Hotel Portinari failed in both these aspects. Our first issue was the mould which covered the... More

We are just back from our second visit to the Portinari Hotel, this time for two nights as part of a P&O "superbreak". Once again we found the room and facilities to be very good - our room was located at the back of the hotel, very peaceful with lovely views over the roof tops. Rooms are spacious with a... More

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night. The breakfast was great and it was nice to make your coffee in the coffee machine. The personnel was helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Did you know this is a four star hotel? We did, then we were reminded multiple times by the desk person. Did you know that four star hotels do not have plastic cups? Also, did you know that people who stay in four star hotels do not picnic??? I am glad I know this now, because without this knowledge I... More
