If I had been told this was a 3* hotel I would have been happy with it, but compared to other 4* properties I've stayed in (including Brussels) it was at the lower end of the spectrum. Location was good, quite central, and the breakfast was good but the room was disappointing - tiny, with tiny bathroom and without any... More

Just made our Christmas excursion to Bruges staying at our the Portinari Hotel. While the weather on our arrival was cool outside, the welcome the staff gave us was as warm as the temperature in the Hotel itself. The food and drinks were every bit as good as I remembered from my last visit, and once more I was able... More

Great location- max 10 minutes walk from the historical center and all places of interest. The rooms and all the hotel were nice and clean. The staff is nice and helpful. Excellent for the price. You can not ask for more to explore the beautiful town of Brugge.

Positives - We drove from the UK on Friday 28 November and did not have any trouble finding this hotel. It was in a good location, approx. 10 mins walk from main square, it was near shops and restaurants and there was a Saturday market right outside the door We went to check in but our room wasn't ready, which... Dear Jo, thank you for your visit and effort to review us. We will of course use your recommendations when refurbishing the hotel. Please have a look to the other reviews concerning my person, it looks that not everybody (in fact nobody) claims that I have a lack of service skills. I have a copy of the CCTV footage for... More

The good: This hotel is perfectly situated at the end of one of Bruges shopping streets. The staff are friendly and know near perfect English. Our room was minimal but nicely decorated. The bad: Our double bed was 2 singles together meaning they split as soon as someone crossed 'the border' The 4th floor hallway smelt bad like a toilet

We stayed here April 2013 so knew what to expect and weren't disappointed. Having travelled over on the ferry and dropped of near the station, the hotel is about a 20 minute steady walk and easily found. We arrived early morning - around 10.30 am and our room was ready - again, located at the rear of the property. It... More

Stayed in a small group. Hotel staff were particularly helpful and booked restaurants and taxis on request when we asked. The man on reception was very helpful and humorous Breakfast was good and provided a welcome start to the day..

I stayed here with my boyfriend as part of a Eurostar deal so do not know normal room rates, however our package was very good value for money (under £450 for 2 nights with trains and hotel). The Hotel is easy to find and a short walk from both the train station and to the centre of town. Check in... More

We arrived after travelling all day 45 of us, check in very quick, room very comfortable and excellent location. Staff were great, nice lounge with English satellite channels. Excellent breakfast buffet. It was a excellent base for us to travel to the various battlefields and cemeteries finishing with the menin gate. Close to plenty of resteraunts bars and shopping

This was a nice place to stay while in Bruges. We arrived in Bruges before 9am, and check-in wasn't until 2pm. The manager said he would have the staff work on available rooms quickly, and when we came back after breakfast to check (after having not slept in over 24 hours!), our room was ready, which was a relief.
