The worst hotel we've ever been. Dirty, disgusting carpet throughout the hotel, unbearable smell in the elevator, shower was not working properly, shower curtain hanging halfway down, hair dryer broken. No receptionist at 10:30 pm but a lady with messy hair, wearing sweatpants and not in a good mood. Not a 4star hotel for sure. We were offered an expensive... More

Easy check-in. Perfect room for three- they had already set up the cot for our son. Not the newest hotel but modernized (which is a big deal in Europe) with all amenities we needed (good TV, nice linens, decent bed and shower). Didn't get the sewage smell at all that others posted about- a non-issue. Super clean (passed my OCD... More

Amazed at some of the negative comments which we don't understand. Sure, not the cheapest hotel but what else would you expect in a tourist hot spot, very close to the main attractions and right next to the undercover car park. This was a very fair price for the location. I saw adverse comments about Stéphane, the General Manager, but... More

It's spotlessly clean and the bed is comfortable, but the room and especially bathroom are tiny---not what I would expect for this price. The WiFi signal in the room was weak (it was fine in the lobby), and there were not enough electric outlets---I only found one outlet in the room, and none next to the bed. The staff are... More

Returned for yet another visit to the Portinari to find everything as good as on our last trip. All the staff from management down were very helpful and welcoming, the breakfast was varied and very tasty, the only problem being what to have with such a wide choice

This hotel has varied room sizes. The hotel was part of a Super break deal, a good choice. Room was at the rear and of a good standard clean.no view to speak of.So what. Staff very friendly and helpfull. very close to all attractions.

Chose this hotel because of the convenience of having a big underground car park under the square. The hotel is well located with many good restaurants nearby. A 10-15 minute walk into the old tow. The hotel was not good value for money and deserves no more than 2* There was an awful smell of sewage throughout the building. I... More

The location is perfect. Our room so so tiny for a four night stay. There was no way we could unpack. No where to put the suitcases and an offensive order. The breakfast was good but there are many cafes to visit. The sight seeing and Saturday market was wonderful. The hotel is directly in front of the Saturday market.... More

First thing you notice, after the short walk from the train station, is the wonderful smell all around the hotel. Room was small but adequate. Location was fantastic for the city. Didn't eat there so can't comment on that. But pleasant stay in a pleasant hotel

One of the few good things about being an unpaid voluntary reviewer is being able to recieve a freebie and reviewing it positively without fear of being biased! If I was a paid reviewer I'd probably have to miss it out in order to appear impartial but not here... Upon arrival we were told we had a bottle of Cava... More
