We had a very pleasant 3 night stay at the Portinari. It's within 5-10 minutes walk of the centre and the canals. It was indeed a good breakfast and the staff all helpful. Nice clean room at the back that was peaceful and quiet. Lots of cafe bars in the square where it was nice to sit in the evening... more

We have just returned from three nights at the Portinari Hotel in Bruges, this hotel is excellent, well situated just 10 minutes walk from the station, and less than 10 minutes from the centre of Bruge itself. met the manager while I was here,, found him to be very friendly, tired, but friendly. its located on the main square in bruges and just a short walk from all of the old back streets. breakfast was filling, continental!.. really enjoyed it. more

Very nice and clean hotel in the city center. Perfect location as it is walking distance to the train station, the shops, restaurants and most importantly all the beautiful buildings and canals of Bruges. Good location, just 10 mins from train station, on the square with the Tourist Info and the Concertgebouw. Bruges is quite small, it is less than 10 mins from hotel to centre. Really happy here. No frills but clean and comfortable. Loved the location as too crowded further in yet an easy stroll to all the sites and easily found by using the church steeple's (Church of our lady and Cathedral) as landmark too and from - I found street signs abyssmal in Bruges and Brussels. We stayed two nights at the Portinari Hotel in Bruges. Would thoroughly recommend this Hotel. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was excellent and hotel was spotless. The situation was first class and would certainly stay here again and recommend it to anyone going to Bruges. more

Just returned from our second stay at this small charming hotel. The exterior is rather bland but don't let that put you off.
