What to say about this hotel? Canalside location in a very pretty area just north of the city centre. The walk by the canal to the market place took about 10-15 minutes which won't suit some travellers but I thoroughly enjoyed each day. As for the hotel the room was of good quality, well maintained and very clean thanks to... More

Situated north-east of Markt this was an excellent place to stay for our short stay in Bruges. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied with something to suit most people. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to enjoy Bruges from a relaxing and quiet base.

Fantastic hotel, less than a 10 minute walk away from the centre of Bruges, our room had a great view of the nearby canal. The staff were extremely helpful when we were trying to sort out travel arrangements and in the bar and breakfast room. The breakfast included was very good and provided a good variety of food.

I got the feeling that the heydey for the De Medici Hotel had passed. The Japanese theme was being transitioned out, without much more being transitioned in. I really missed having a full restaurant for when you're just too tired or when it's too rainy to want to venture out. The full, hot breakfast buffet did help make up for... More

We visited Bruges in August 2015 and had a fantastic stay at this relaxed and friendly hotel. The location was perfect for us; a short stroll down the pretty streets to the town centre, but just far enough removed to be quiet and peaceful in the evenings. Our 4th-floor rooms were very clean and comfortable - my mum's room in... More

Staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Arrived later than planned gone midnight and there was someone there waiting to greet us. Had a beautiful view of the canal from a large room. The rooms do look a bit old and dated but the bathroom was quite modern so that seemed strange. We got a parking pass from the hotel... More

At first site from the outside this hotel doesn't look like much but once you step inside it's great. The staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of town but just a short walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms excellent and the help yourself breakfast very good, with everything that you could possibly want. We would definitely stay at the hotel again.

I never saw a 4 star hotel where rooms can only be accessed 15:00. But don't worry, 15:30 in the afternoon rooms are still not ready. And if you still want more fun, they have no complain book. All that at the beautiful rate of 250€ per night double room.

To be honest, it was a quick booking, but I needed a room on the canal, close to everything and will allow smoking (hubby is a smoker). I read the reviews and most of them didn't recommend this hotel, but I booked it anyway because it was one of the few in Bruges that allowed smoking. Check in was quick... More
