This is one of the most beautiful and historic guest houses we have ever stayed in anywhere. To begin with, the house is in an excellent location, near the Cathedral and shops, and within a short walking distance of many restaurants, but on a quiet street with lovely architecture. The house is centuries old but has large rooms and all... More

Easy walk from train station and close to heart of everything in Brugge. Beautiful art work, architecture and furniture inside. Very good, clear communication about location and checking in. Michael was very helpful showing us points of interest on the map and making dinner reservations for us. The bed in our room was amazing- a "heaven bed" with individual remote... More

This is a very personal hotel with many unique features that will not likely be found in many others. It may be a tad more pricey but its worth the litlle extra for something special. Nice choices for breakfast and delightful service from the two hosts. Very comfortable and very clean. I would love to return on our next stay... More

Huis 't Schaep is a small boutique BB. We stayed 2 nights at this extraordinary 'guest house' as they are calling themselves like this. But in fact after the first minute of entering into this guest house you feel yourself at home. Check-in was very easy and during the check-in we learned lots of practical information about the historical places... More

Stayed in the Rubens Suite which was huge, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. A perfect location in a very quiet street. One very small hiccup was the fact that we were there during a beautiful Indian Summer and found the room to be quite warm in the night, having the windows open though attracted a few mosquitos. Can fully appreciate... More

Ideal romantic place to stay. Attention to detail and luxurious furnishings made this a perfect stay for a romantic break. 2 mins walk from city centre yet in a quiet area of the city. Quality of the interior was the main plus- as well as the adjustable king size bed..pure bliss!!

We had a wonderful stay in Bruges, an amazingly quaint town perfect for meandering around, sampling the traditional delights. Our trip was made even more special with our stay here. Michael looked after our every need from the minute we stepped into the beautifully spotless surroundings. He had many local tips and was very friendly and knowledgable. Even providing a... More

This was indeed a find! We can't recommend it enough. We booked via the Huis 't Schaep website and everything ran like clockwork from beginning to end. It was exactly as depicted on the website, beautifully decorated throughout with a very inviting lounge and outside terrace. We stayed in the Coucke suite - wonderful four poster bed and very comfortable... More

What a wonderful place! The building is stunning with a fascinating history. We stayed for 5 nights in the Rembrandt Suite. First it was huge and gorgeous. We had a king sized wooden canopy bed. The bathroom was immense & we even had a large living room. The location could not have possibly been better. Bruge is a walkable small... More

We looked closely at the many excellent options in Bruges and finally decided on Huis 't Schaep. Once we had stayed there, we knew we had made the right choice. As has been mentioned over and over again, the house and rooms are just beautiful! I doubt I will ever again have a bathroom with a stained glass window of... More
