Upon arriving at the Hostellerie Pannenhuis, my daughter exclaimed, "It looks just like a dollhouse!" And truly, that's the best way to describe it. The rooms and furnishings are comfortable, the bathrooms are functional, yet there is a dated feel that, depending on your perspective, is either charmingly quaint or just plain stuffy. I, however, do prefer the former description... More

I had the misfortune of staying here in October 2014 as a business stopover. Although as a 3 star rated property my expectations were not great, @ over £80 for the night for bed and breakfast I did expect a little quality. On arrival it was immediately apparent that this establishment was a little tired. On opening the front door... More

I recently stayed one night at the Hostellerie Pannenhuis with my boyfriend on a city break to Bruges. The hotel was incredibly easy to find coming in by car, and had ample parking. Despite us arriving 4 hours before our allocated check in time the owner on reception was extremely accommodating and said he would have our room ready for... More

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Pannenhuis it was just perfect, beautiful old house, lovely large room, we were made so welcome by the owners Jan and Francine Simoens. Nothing was to much trouble including charging our phone, we had forgotten our charger! The breakfast was superb including boiled eggs my husband favourite, drinks on the terrace overlooking the beautiful... More

Arrived very late after a long journey. Made welcome, large characterful room. Like stepping back in time. Lovely breakfast - lots to choose from even for a toddler. Free parking directly outside and a short walk to the city. All in all a recommended place to stay, in a great location.

Just spent the weekend in Bruges and stayed two nights at this lovely hotel. This was a surprise for my birthday and my partner booked it without my knowledge. Top marks to him for choosing this place to stay. I cannot believe some of the things people have written in previous reviews. Yes, this establishment is not ultra modern and... More

An older style hotel but everything we encountered was clean (always our main criteria). Our room did not have any of the faults that other reviewers have listed. Obviously there are things in any hotel that could be changed (I will not say improved because that is subjective). Yes, it was expensive but then so is most of Belgium, and... More

Well past its prime with bathroom and bedroom showing lots of wear and tear but quiet and with free parking outside and a short walk into the town it is worth considering. Bruges is expensive for accommodation so it is all a balance, but i would have liked to have seen the hotel 10 or so years ago. Breakfast was... More

in former years this may have been a quality place to stay. nowadays only the good location and the big and beautiful garden refer to those times. now the rooms smelled musty and looked like not renewed for centuries. the bathroom is fully plastic, the floor, the wall and even the sink! obviously they like plastics - we had plastic... We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Although a little dated in places it was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel grounds were immaculate and we enjoyed the large bedroom and tasty breakfast with homemade preserves. It was a bit of a walk into town (20 mins) but it was a very pleasant stroll and as Belgium is so flat it... More
