Been at this Hotel 4 times within 10 years and this last time the experience was totally different. It was as if there were different staff people as before. This was the first time I was put in a room behind the Hotel.. We were escorted through the restaurant out of the original Hotel through the back alley into a... More

They'd clearly renovated the restaurant and reception but upstairs needs significant attention. Should have realised by the smell of damp in the lift but got progressively worse as we entered our 1st bedroom. Stained carpets and linen, ripped mattresses, shabby walls including a large hole in the wall, broken toilet seat, mould around the bath. You get the picture. Asked... More

Mary and I spent three nights here and were happy enough for what we paid (note any complainers, ya gets'what ya pays for), but I consider it was quite good. Our room had a good sized bed, good wardrobes, tho' not my choice of design, and an excellent bathroom, even if the bath was high sided. Breakfast (included) was good,... More

Hotel is definitely not a 3 star. Really needs a makeover. Rooms are very shabby with old carpet, paint etc. Bathroom had mold on the tiles and a tap that shot water everywhere. My husband complained and the reception person was very nice and tried her best to make things better. She let him look at two other rooms and... More

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend in Bruges and was not disappointed. The room we had was at the front and had a balcony with large french doors. Very clean and comfortable. The bed was a great sleep in fact we missed breakfast, so never ate at this hotel. One word of warning be prepared for mosquitoes. We were... More

Me and my fiance stayed here for two nights in early September 2014 as part of a romantic trip to europe in celebration of a birthday. This hotel near ruined it. Had we have stayed here for more of our week away the trip to europe would have been ruined. To start we booked a double bedroom, only request being... More

Sunday morning 9.00am and no one to check us out - waited over 20 min to be told that management wasn't available. Fortunately we had booked through Booking.com (excellent booking service) This Hotel and other hotels on the Zand food service is over priced and expensive - this area is a tourist trap - the service is poor, the food... Good location in city but hotel needs just a little more effort. Nothing was particularly bad in and of itself but lots of little problems added up. Broken lift, broken air conditioning, peeling wallpaper, broken hairdryer (a spare was in the room to be fair), small but adequate breakfast selection. All this said, the room and bed were comfortable and... More
