All and all, its a reasonable hotel. The location is Super. Just opposite to the train station, right in the heart of Leuven- restaurants, shops, coffee shops, etc..A few things that could have made the stay in La royale much better: 1. Minibar/ small Fridge in the room- it's quite a standard.. i wanted to buy cheese/Yogurt/cold drink.. but couldn't... More

just in front of the main bus stop and railway station. close to the historical center, walking 10 min or direct bus lines. Surrounding is very busy by shops, bars, busses, deliveries and road traffic. not for somebody looking for a quiet place. parking and access by car is a bit difficult. hotel is clean, breakfast ok, small bar and... My partner was booked into this hotel for a work trip, and I tagged along. The room was very basic, with no space for any comforts such as an easy chair. There was no residents' lounge or seating area, other than the breakfast room (tables and dining chairs only). The bathroom fittings were old but it was clean. The position... More

When visiting Belgium, you come mainly for chocolates and beer. Throw in thousands of college students and a rich history, and you have Leuven. The La Royale is strategically located right across the street from the main train station, which makes day trips around the country very convenient. It’s also a nice 15 minute walk to the historic Oude Markt... More

I often went to Leuven for working reason and only recently I decided to test this hotel. It is located in front of the railway station so it is easy to reach. The hotel is very comfortable even if the rooms are very small. The personnel is young and competent and the breakfast is very good. Fort what are the... More

It's really pretty basic and more like a hostel. There is absolutely NO luxury anywhere. Hard floors, hard beds, hard chairs, basic facilities, no air con.... I've been put here often and it is OK, but if I was staying for two nights I'd go elsewhere. As pointed out by others, free WiFi (should be a standard by now) and... More

As a budget traveller, a good accommodation that meets your needs is hard to come by but our stay at this hotel was very comfortable. We stayed in a double bed room and the things we requested prior to staying were all met. We've also noticed that the bathrooms looked the most evidently refurbished. Apart from that, the free wifi... More

I came here for work but really liked the hotel. Of course it is a 3 star hotel, so you shouldnt get carried away. The room was on the small side but the hotel has been recently refurbished and it is attractive. The bath room is very nice, with outside window and a very good shower. Service is very agreable,... This 3 star hotel is in front of the rail station and in the city centre of Leuven. This hotel has been renovated and the rooms are fine but so luxes. The breakfast is good. There is a bar/restaurant in the hotel. Its a good hotel to visit Leuven.
