We first stayed here in August 2004 when we got married in Leuven. All our guests stayed there too and everyone loved the hotel. It was still fairly new and the rooms were stunning. We stayed again 3 years ago and were a bit disappointed: lots of limescale, stains on carpet, scuffed skirting boards etc. at that time they had... More

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend break from the 18th to 20th of July taking advantage of one of their special packages which included breakfast, a welcome drink and an 18:00 checkout. We arrived at Leuven train station which is an easy 15 - 20 minute journey from the airport and walked to the hotel which took roughly... More

Stayed here three times recently for business trip. It is very close to the center of Leuven, indeed just a short walk away. Travelling by car, it is easy to find if you carefully follow the instructions on their website. There is a parking garage available (otherwise it would be impossible to park the care anywhere in Leuven). Receptionists always... More

We stayed in a charming Room with jacuzzi in the bath room. We arrived quite early in the hotel (round 13h30) and the room was already made for our stay! I asked for a room on the top floor (3th) which we also received. ROOM: Nice room with queensize bed and ensuite bathroom with bath tub equipped with a jacuzzi... More

We only went to have a drink and some cheese at the bar and it was great. We arrived at 10 p.m. and they still gave us a nice cheese dish. The wines and beers were tasteful, as well as the plate with different cheeses. The staff was really friendly and the prices were fine. Great rustic setting with cosy... More

Very well located for a visit to Leuven. Nice spacy rooms with all comfort available. Very good beds, sufficient room in the bathroom. good welcome at the reception, fluent check out. Good breakfast but for € 25,- this can be excepted also. Nice outdoor seating for a drink.

The hotel is quiet, elegant, and very central. The breakfast buffet is incredibly rich and well-organized, and the rooms are comfortable and very stylish. The pub food could perhaps be a little more varied, but in general it is very good, with an excellent selection of Belgian beers and efficient, friendly service.

After a misunderstanding about the breakfast and it's pricing this is a correction to an earlier review of us. Martins Klooster is a really good choice for various reasons. Well situated right in the historical centre of Leuven one can easily walk within minutes to find all the highlights of the town, the abundance of restaurants etc. We stayed in... More

...I have come home feeling very much one of the poor relations. I don't think anyone can argue with the situation or the beauty of this historic building, which is why I've given it 4 stars instead of my instinct which would be 3. Our room was comparable to the servants' quarters - small, angular and desperately hot and stuffy.... More

Lovely modern hotel at the heart of leuven. We stayed at the old end of the hotel. Beaufiful old features with modern touch. Great big bathroom and shower. The bar was cosy and great selection of drinks available. Lobby was spacious and the staff was very friendly. Great walking distance from the centre, bars and restaurants and some lovely shops....
