The hoetl has been partially extended and renovated very well done!. Rooms are excellent sleeping quality excellent
When I first stayed at the Klooster hotel years ago it was an oasis amongst mediocre hotels in Leuven. The city has a large university and many spin off companies so there is a shortage of decent hotel rooms. Then not surprisingly the owners of the Klooster hotel decided to extend. After finding on several occasions the builders liked to...

Great place and especially ideal for a 1 or 2 day break. Fantastic location, steeped in history and also the extended garden is beautiful. Rooms are a little small but just enough for a City break since you spend most of your time outside.
We spent 4 nights in the beginning of May.
Martin´s Klooster is located in the historical centre of Leuven. Combines the charm of an ancient convent and the latest modern gadgets. The hotel has 2 wings: one with 40 rooms in the convent (klooster) and more 60 rooms inaugurated in April.
We stayed at the brand new wing at room...

we made a hotelreservation through Booking.com. I asked for a quiet room as I'm not a "good" sleeper, and a spot on their private parking space. My god ! The hotel is in a small (1-direction...) street. So, you drive to the hotel, gets a badge to open the parking barreer, get out of the street backwards !!! Should we...

We spent 2 nights here in mid-February 2012 & enjoyed it very much, particularly as it's a short few minutes stroll to the lovely cobbled town centre with its many lively bars & restaurants.
I think the building may have been an abbey & once inside its small courtyard it's an impressive looking building. Inside it has a sleek designer...

I've stayed at this hotel several times in the last 4 years and it remains one of my favourite European hotels for ambience and no-nonsense simplicity. It's very well located in a cobbled street just outside the central shopping area of Leuven but within very easy walking distance of all restaurants, and 15mins walk from the station. it's exceptionally cosy...

This is a picturesque building with contemporary internals that provides superb quarters for the business traveler. It is a five minute walk to the main restaurant street, city hall and the great market and a little bit longer to get to/from the train station (there are trains about every half hour during daylight hours operating between Leuven and the airport)....

I agree with the previous review. We got married at the hotel in 2004. All our guests stayed in the hotel and everyone loved it. We went back this weekend and we were slightly disappointed. The hotel still looks OK but on closer inspection, it needs a thorough spruce up: limescale in the bathrooms, rusty taps, streaked skiting bords. It...

Since my previous review I stayed multiple times and since ,service level seems to go down. Front desk staff is less personal and friendly, rooms require maintenance - especially bathrooms require extra cleaning.(smell).
Hotel is building a new wing , I hope its not going to be the final part of the worsening- in the meanwhile it causes a lot...
