The hotel is great. Beds are comfortable, breakfast is filling, and it's in the centre of the city. However, the hotel is located right next to a student bar, where the students of Leuven party into the early hours of the morning. I went to bed at 11, when the noise started, and couldn't sleep until 3. This was frustrating... More

We stayed at Hotel professor based on TripAdvisor reviews and were so glad we did! The hotel is literally on the large town square. As other reviewers mentioned, it can be noisy at night. However, the "noise" is the sound of people having fun in the square just below your window - we expected the sounds and didn't have any... More

We came here specifically for the cocktails, having walked past it on our first night and seen the place full of people happily drinking fantastic looking creations. We didn't realise that it was a hotel until we actually came inside. The cocktail list is extensive, with seemingly hundreds available. The menu is broken down by type, so it is easy... More

We didn't stay in the hotel, but went to the cocktail bar. It is great! The Amaretto milkshake is delicious and quite big. Other cocktails as well. Next to their names, they tell you what's in it. You can also ask for a specific cocktail according to your taste. So you can 'assemble' it yourself. This isn't the place where... More

The Hotel is located in the middle of Leuven and this makes it ideal for a stay in Leuven. everything is located a short stroll away. The size of room was ok, the bath was small with a closed shower. The price was attractive but it was really noisy (Friday night :(. The area is very lively and I assume... More

Visited the city of Leuven in September during a motorcycle trip through Belgium and stayed at the Professor. The rooms are basic but very comfortable and clean. Its situated right in the heart of the city and has an excellent cocktail bar/pub downstairs. Breakfast was in the deal with a generous helping of freshly baked breads, cheeses, cold meats etc.... The room we had was one of the biggest I've stayed in, and was comfortable. However, the bathroom was 'tired', and lacked an enclosed shower - no screen around the bath. There was some noise at night from outside, which is the price to pay for excellent position just off the Oude Markt, which is a lively hangout for students.

The rooms are basic and clean: a bathroom (bath, toilet, towels), 2 small beds, a TV and a small desk. That was just what I was looking for. Friendly staff and again basic (but more than enough) breakfast in the morning. The only downside was that it was impossible to sleep at night because of the dance clubs and students... More

Good Hotel in the centre of Leuven. If you like an early sleep, make sure you get one of the upper floor rooms, because the cafe below turns into an hapy cocktail bar, filled with students each saturday night. The owner is very nice guy and the breakfast is great

Fantastic location - so close to all the bars and restaurants and attractions in Leuwen. Good clean room, in slight need of updating. Only criticism is that there was no shower. There was a shower head in the bath, but no screen etc. Perhaps this is normal in Belgium. Basic but satisfying breakfast and friendly staff.
