Aarschot in August is as empty as an eaten snail, due to vacation period. Only bikers on the roads and elderly or handicapped trying to find a shadow in the park near the church. Hertogenmolens hotel is built actually on a "water cutter-managing" system of maybe 16nth century. The initial building's elements -clearly maintained and seen in and out of... More

Wow. This is a quaint, beautifully restored old mill and farmhouse. I arrived quite late but luckily in time to check-in, and enjoyed a good dinner, bath and a nights sleep. Breakfast deserves a mention: good quality ingredients, not a broad selection but just enough.

Everthing was on top! Suoer kindly staff! Close to the Brasseire and food for starving bikers... Beautiful area. Charming with the water mill ... a minus ... do not sleep in the room over the mill ... to nocie ... charming but nocie ... The room was nice, clean and big. Trendy with oldfashion charm. We arrived on a bitterly cold day (below freezing) to an unsmiling welcome. The receptionist was not rude, but rattled off information and rules so fast and with so little attention to the people in front of her that it was impossible to follow everything. We were told that after nine pm we must use a code to get in... More

A really lovely modernised old water Mill in Aarschot. Lovely rooms, excellent breakfast The only facts for NOT getting 5 stars, close at nine pm so I had to wait for about 10 minuten to get in ( no front door key) The Phone lines were down for two Days and a real grumpy receptionist The morning I left. Very nice place, great design, but the price was too expensive. It's an old mill on a river, but that's not the problem of the noise. Room are noisy, you can hear people next door / room or in the corridor talking. Not very well isolated. Not good as they claim for EUR 90 a room... The designer could think... More

Found this hotel on "bookings.com". We were looking for a place to stay outside of Brussels for one night before going into the city for one day and then to Brussels airport. The perfect place! Hotel was very unique. It is a mill that has been converted into a hotel and restaurant. The hotel room was a little small but... More

Quite a good hotel for a business stay, if you want a quiet town with charm. If you want some night-life better stay in Leuven, about fifteen kilometers away down the E340 or a short railway trip. The hotel is comfortable and room I had was an older one with high ceilings and many exposed beams. Room is tastefully decorated... More

Great find. Stayed here for one night on business. Restaurant food is good, rooms are clean and modern, breakfast was very tasty. The place itself is a converted watermill and there are hints to its history everywhere. The restoration is very tastefully done and the whole place has a very god feel. I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.
