On getting there on foot through city late after missing the train, was told by owner to get our papers out and check that we should have called him 30 minutes before. How could we when we didn't know where we were going and how long it would take? Place dirty, supposed to have tea and coffee facilities - 1... More

We stayed last weekend in the Amsterdam appartment (on the first floor) and were quite disappointed about the overall decoration. We had stayed in the Shanghai room before, which is exuberantly decorated and very intriguing. The Amsterdam however is not even minimalistic, it's Spartan and has only a limited number of Ikea furniture. The bedroom has only a bedframe, an... More

perfect location for a romantic getaway in a romantic city. We stayed in the Sjanghai room and what a different world we entered: exotic, luxurious and sexy. We went to Gent to visit the Lightfestival and this B&B was just perfect for us. I don't want to spoil the surprise to much, just go and see for yourselves. The room... More

This was a perfect place to visit as a couple, very sexy and cool decoratios, from the sexy books, to the train going aroud the bed, to the old fashioned bathtub, waterfall shower and many interesting accessories... Too bad I was alone on a business trip!

The California room (loft) is kind of sparse and austere and the location is a bit out of the way but lots of character and a copious breakfast was delivered including some lovely fresh pastries to all suites. Hallways decorated like a contemporary bawdy house: not for the faint of heart!

This is by far the most sexy B&B ever. The red Shanghai room downstairs is fantastic! Lots of space, great bath and rain shower, dvd's and photo books. And of course the piece de resistance: the jacuzzi in the garden: oh my god! And then there is the breakfast... They ask you at what time you would like to have... More

This is a place to relax. The Oriental suite was wonderful. A hot tub, spa bath and a HUGE rain shower added an extra level of luxury. We didn't see as much of Ghent as we'd planned because this room was so comfortable. LOVELY! Breakfast was delivered to our room at an agreed time and was a HUGE continental choice... More

The suite is amazing, spacious and gave a truly a bohemian experience. A wonderful room with all the adult comforts you could want, the lil train was a fantastic touch. Last September, the Guardian named Ghent as the hipster capital of this creative little country, Belgium. Verne Dreaming may then be the most hip B&B of this wonderful city. As we had a New Year party in Ghent this year, we decided to go back to our preferred B&B for the night, and were lucky enough to have the Shanghai... More

This B&B is just what we needed after a month in hotels during our travels though Europe. Big room, great shower, with shampoo, bath gel, shower caps. This B&B knows a travler and knows what we need. The breakfast was to die for. 2 large baskets outside our door every morning at 8:30 filled with breads, fruit, meat and cheese... More
