This hotel sits on the best canal in Ghent and you look at it every time you leave the hotel. The hotel is close to all the major sites which are easy walking distance and is close to the station.Just be aware it's a minimum 8.5 euro cab ride but it's worth staying here just for the location. The hotel... More

We stayed for one night in April with our two teenaged kids. We only had one evening to see the city and we picked the perfect spot. This hotels provides modern amenities with a very charming exterior that fits right in. The location is literally perfection and the service was fantastic. We were able to walk out the back door... They call Ghent "Europe's Hidden Gem". Though the Marriott in Ghent isn't hidden it's a Gem! Located in the heart of Ghent it's everything you would expect from Marriott. I stayed two nights. Request a corner room they are slightly larger. Staff was very friendly and accommodating! Food at the bar and restaurant was great. Walk out the back door... More

We visited for an Easter break and much enjoyed the city - a better place to visit than Bruges in many ways. The Marriott is located right in the centre so is very well placed for restaurants, shops and the major attractions. The historic canal frontage hides a modern interior with an impressive atrium. A minor gripe was that the... More

We spent a 3-night Easter Break here. The Hotel is perfectly situated right next to the main Canal and opposite a wealth of Restaurants and Bars. The Centre of the City is pedestrian only but taxis from the railway station drop off right outside the doors to the Hotel. The staff are very helpful and tried hard to sort out... More

The hotel is fine in general and location is good. If you are on the Korenlei you will have a great view as well. My objection is to the constant tasteless muzak in the lobby - often with two different lots going on at the same time. One night there was a rock band playing and I had to move... More

I'be been there over the Easter weekend with my family and I was right on the money. The hotel is extremely central, right next one of the main canal of the central square. It's the perfect location to visit Ghent on foot, with super friendly staff and quiet rooms. The breakfast is good, and worth the extra bit on your... More

The Ghent Marriott lies at the heart of the center of the city, you can't get it any better. The service of the reception was friendly and professional, always helpful. The rooms are tidy, big, the beds large and the whole architecture interesting. All in all, much better than most of the business hotels of the same chain. Well recommended... More

Marriott Hotel Ghent is a great place to stay when visiting Ghent either for a weekend or longer. A lovely blend of modern with old. We were there only for a couple of days Easter 2015 and wish we had stayed longer; Ghent is a beautiful, classy town for sights, food and shopping. Trams are a great way to get... More

I stayed at this hotel for a conference at the end of March. It is a lovely converted hotel in the city's historic centre. The facade of this hotel is nothing special, however the part over-looking the canal is very picturesque and traditional. The lobby has been greatly converted and is one of the hotel's best features, as is the... More
