We originally had reservations at the Gravensteen, but the room was so bad I booked a room for us here. The difference is staggering. This hotel is awesome. Right on the water near St. Michael's Bridge in a perfect location to tour the city. The hotel is very modern inside with a really cool central area enclosed by a four-story... More

This hotel is extremely well situated in the historic heart of Ghent. Although the rooms are not huge, they are pleasant, the bathroom is well equipped and bathrobes are provided. AC worked well and was reasonably quiet. The hotel restaurant is very good - best to reserve for dinner, as it is very popular. Room service was also very good... More

Recently stayed at this hotel whilst city hopping around Belgium and it definitely spoilt any place we stayed in from that point onwards! The staff where very friendly and I was very impressed at their ability to speak fluent English, French, Flemish, Dutch the list goes on. As recently stated by others, the hotel has a historic façade, with the... More

The location of the hotel can't be beat. Literally walking distance to hundreds of bars, restaurants, and attractions. And an easy tram/train ride to many places in the region. The rooms are spacious and clean. And the breakfast buffet offers an amazing selection of foods, both North American and European. But it is the staff that makes this hotel so... More

friends of mine and myself stayed there after a day trip to Brugge due to Eurostar disruptions this week. The hotel is very well positioned, very close to all attractions and shopping area. A room had everything you need, nice shampoos and body lotions, apart from toothpaste and tooth brushes. I usually take my own and it was not a... More

The hotel is ideally located on the banks of the river Lys, close to local amenities and and a short walk distance to most local attractions. The staff were polite and welcoming. The room was well appointed and large. We did not have any meals at the hotel but the cafe and restaurants seemed busy enough. We hope to return... More

The staff are professional and helpful. Fast service for both check in and check out. The map and advice on attractions and eateries areas were given right after checking in. We stayed in Room 410. New, clean and well-equipped. However, complimentary bottles of water would be nice. There is an ice machine provided on the corridor of the floor. The... More

Recently did a 7 night trip across Europe and if you'd told me the standout service of the trip would be a Marriott I'd have been surprised. However it really was by some distance. Incredible central location and brilliantly built into the street (you don't fully appreciate that when coming through the main entrance but for subsequent walks onto the... More
