We booked the B&B online and were apprehensive when we first arrived as it is on a (relatively) main Street. Then we saw the entrance - the door was like something out of "Lord of the Rings" - it was huge! Definitely different... Our room was themed "Europe", the others similarly for other continents. It was terrific and well thought... More

Very nice b&b. Close to the city. Tram just outside the door. Breakfast was perfect - all you need. The owners were very helpful and had some nice tips about the city and places to go.The only negative thing: my room was rather cold.

I stayed twice in this B&B. The first time was with my family. We stayed in the African room which was very nicely decorated. You can see the owners really put an effort. The second time I stayed with my partner and we came by car. Because we were travelling from the Netherlands and had some very bad traffic on... More

We chose this place as it had a positive write-up on the Lonely Planet website; however, our view is not the same. The house is located in a side street about 5 to 10 mins walk from the city centre in an area which feels slightly seedy. The house itself is quirky, but like the neighbourhood, appeared run-down, with much... More

This is a lovely B&B with helpful staff and great fun, lively interior. Our room was spacious, comfy and cosy despite its Antarctic theme. Breakfast room is lovely but it could be a better layout(we shared our table with 2 other families) and have a bigger selection of fruit, though maybe we went down too late and it had all... More

We arrived slightly late (5 hours) to check in for our weekend stay at the Atlas. We were greeted by a slightly oily Francis who greeted us warmly, explaining that he had been doing some work in his shed. Although a little unsuspecting from the footpath, the Atlas almost has a grand feel to it. An old building, bursting with... More

Two married couples in late 60's. Just stopped for four nights at the Atlas Bed and Breakfast in Gent. Brilliant. Never mind the comments about it being deserted, it is peace, quiet and elegance hidden behind Art Nouveau and some big gates. A restored mansion. Very close to the town and the maze of back street, the castle and the... More

I stayed in Atlas B&B for 3 days with my partner and only saw the owners for 5 minutes, when we first arrived. The place was always deserted. In the first day we didn't have any breakfast because the people in charge fell asleep (they did refund us for this, though). The second day was normal but in the third... More

We stayed in the Asia room which was a bit noisy being on the main road with trams. The room was large with it's own large en suite bathroom. The dining room and lounge were very tasteful with a sofa and armchairs. You can purchase beer and wine and have a good chin wag with other residents should you wish!... More
