This is a perfect hotel if you are visting Gent, great location, easy to find, really nice hotel, easy and safe parking near by. All staff were polite and helpful and friendly, The room we had was big, clean and well furnished. Breakfast was very good, good selection and well presented. Looking forward to going back, Gent is a truely... More

Stayed here on Friday 5th of December. We checked in around 2pm. The receptionist was not nice, did not even welcome us to Ghent or the Hotel. I did not get her name, she had black hair, in her 20s. Anybody can have a off day at work. However on checkout the following day, the same girl was just as... More

The Hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of the Square, lots of walks, churches and good eating places. We went for the Christmas Markets which were great, lovely lights. The Hotel is a good taxi ride (12 - 14 euro) from the Gent St.Peter railway station. Bruges is a 30 minute train ride. The staff were very helpful, the... More

I booked this hotel through Booking.com approximately 6 weeks ago. I followed the booking up with a telephone call to the hotel to ensure they had received the booking, plus I sent an email two weeks ago requesting that all 3 de-luxe rooms had a river view, which the hotel confirmed. Two days before we were leaving I received an... More

Stayed here recently for two nights as my partner was attending a conference in the city. Our first impressions were not favourable. The receptionist was very unwelcoming and brusque. Arriving at 1pm, having travelled from UK, he told us in no uncertain terms that check-in was not until 4pm and that we could put our cases in the luggage store!... More

We had a great room right on the canal with a brick wall. It was very nice and close to many restaurants and shops. The staff was no really on the helpful side, and seemed busier with stuff behind the desk rather than helping guests. Breakfast was 20€ each, so we opted not to go. We will return to the... More

Stayed here for just one night but would love to come back again! Stylishly decorated room with exposed brick and beams. We had a river view which was fab. Breakfast on the top floor offered views of the city and there was a good selection of food and drink. The hotel also offers umbrellas on loan - highly useful for... More

I needed a hotel for one night and started to look for a room at 20:00. The only hotel that I found with availability was this one. And they charged me 179 EUR for a normal single room without any spezials. The standard rate they have ( in their Web page ) is 139 €/night in a single room. Really... More

Stayed here with a group that occupied 3 rooms for two nights. No complaints from anyone. My room was at river level and was perfectly charming. The novelty of having boatloads of tourists looking in the window doesn't wear off. Make sure to request a riverside room if possible as, for me, this made my stay in the hotel a... More

I organised a group of 16 people to stay at this hotel in 8 rooms and they were all very complimentary about the rooms and the hotel in general. An old period building (sugar factory) in part, it has "warehouse" features which give it a unique feel. The staff were very friendly, checking in was very efficient and there is... More
