Very old building located by pedestrianiised section within close proximity to river, Cathedral and cultural sites. Beautiful old dining room where breakfast was served. The reception staff spoke English and were extremely helpful. There were several excellent restaurants nearby although our favourite was on the corner of the street. Do try an evening stroll along the river when the reflections... More

When you arrive at a hotel you booked as a disabled person and the first thing you have to do is climb seven steep steps with no handrail it docent give you much confidence. Lift to small. and was told by staff that they did not have a real disabled room. So no good for me. we left and went... More

The Reception and waiting staff were helpful. The hotel is extremely well located in the centre of the old town. Our bedroom was big with a huge radiator. The bathroom was basic but functional. Decor was a bit gloomy and dingy. Breakfast was plentiful and served in an historical dining room which we loved, but not sure it would be... More

We chose this hotel because I have never had a bad experience at a Best Western Hotel. This is not a top of the range chain but I find it can be relied on to provide comfortable, clean and efficient accommodation and service at a very reasonable price. The Cour St Georges is easy to reach from the train station... More

My husband stayed here last weekend for the cycling event. He thought the room was nice but turned out so did the fleas, he arrived home covered in flea bites. Although others didn't seem to have suffered the same fate, so perhaps just that room. The hotel was full so breakfast was a crowded affair but food OK. Staff were... More

Central hotel with a car park just 7 mins north away ( under a lovely old square Vrijjdak Market near Jakobs Kerk ). A larger room than normal with a lovely large bath and lots of hot water. The room had a kettle and coffee etc - a rare thing these days. It was near the canals, several squares and... More

Perfect location close to most must see historic buildings, etc. Beautiful old building with lots of character. It need some maintenance, but the room was perfect, the breakfast excellent and the service friendly and efficient.

The Residence Cour St Georges, Gent is an ideally situated hotel for the delights of Gent. If you don't mind the poor décor and minor faults with your room, noise was an issue for us as we were in room 11 right at the front of the hotel, on a very noisy street below, the lack of air conditioning meant... As previous reviews have said, the location is fantastic - very central. We stayed here last weekend with 2 other couples. Both their rooms came with a fan unlike ours and although it wasn't blistering hot, the room was a little stuffy. We did have two large windows, but as we were in room 10, we were kept awake until... Really good central location which meant we were able to leave the car in the nearby car park for 2 days and wander around Ghent. Rooms were a reasonable size - a little dark due to the miserable weather. Kids had a sofa bed which wasn't the best but was in a separate room. Lovely old building, breakfast in a... More
