Stayed here and struck lucky with the biggest room in the hotel so no complaints whatsoever. Great location- out of the hotel and into the stunning architecture of the city centre. We went for a meal at the restaurant directly opposite the front door and that too was a great find in a very ornate and stylish surroundings with live... More

I stayed last week at this Best Western for 4 days. The worst problem for me was the mosquitos. They were ver loud and kept me from sleeping because of their loud humming in my ears and the numerous bites they took from my face and hands. I was not able to sleep 5 minutes the last night I was... More

This hotel was great value and perfectly located in the heart of the historic centre. Room at the front on first floor was comfortable, if on the small side, and not too noisy. Decor was a little tired but room was clean and bed very firm. Central stairwell always smelled of cigarette smoke, possibly from reception staff. Breakfast selection was... More

The building is starting to show the first signs of aging, but not to a point where it becomes a problem. It is an old building, with wooden floors, a small elevator, quirky corners, a few crooked walls and a beautiful breakfast salon - it immerses you in old-style Gent. The hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff friendly,... More

Very old building located by pedestrianiised section within close proximity to river, Cathedral and cultural sites. Beautiful old dining room where breakfast was served. The reception staff spoke English and were extremely helpful. There were several excellent restaurants nearby although our favourite was on the corner of the street. Do try an evening stroll along the river when the reflections... More

When you arrive at a hotel you booked as a disabled person and the first thing you have to do is climb seven steep steps with no handrail it docent give you much confidence. Lift to small. and was told by staff that they did not have a real disabled room. So no good for me. we left and went... More

The Reception and waiting staff were helpful. The hotel is extremely well located in the centre of the old town. Our bedroom was big with a huge radiator. The bathroom was basic but functional. Decor was a bit gloomy and dingy. Breakfast was plentiful and served in an historical dining room which we loved, but not sure it would be... More

We chose this hotel because I have never had a bad experience at a Best Western Hotel. This is not a top of the range chain but I find it can be relied on to provide comfortable, clean and efficient accommodation and service at a very reasonable price. The Cour St Georges is easy to reach from the train station... More

My husband stayed here last weekend for the cycling event. He thought the room was nice but turned out so did the fleas, he arrived home covered in flea bites. Although others didn't seem to have suffered the same fate, so perhaps just that room. The hotel was full so breakfast was a crowded affair but food OK. Staff were... More

Central hotel with a car park just 7 mins north away ( under a lovely old square Vrijjdak Market near Jakobs Kerk ). A larger room than normal with a lovely large bath and lots of hot water. The room had a kettle and coffee etc - a rare thing these days. It was near the canals, several squares and... More
