Wanting to save money on a bed we went for the cheap option of sleeping in a hostel. We have seen many many hostels over the years all over the world and this one surprised us a little... in a bad way. To start on the positve, it was clean. Breakfast was ok. Everything else was not so great. The... More

I stayed here for almost one month. The best thing of this place is for sure its position, really central. In my opinion it's not so economic for being a hostel and for the accomodation: rooms are spartan and the bathroom is not so confortable - in particular the shower is far from pleasant. Breakfast is not so various but... More

I rented a double room as a single female. At 0100 some one is trying to get in. When I yell out wrong room, he comes in stating I was wrong and he rented the room. I was in a locked room, asleep. Terrified I tell him to leave, he argues telling me to leave. Only when I threaten to... More

This hostel is very clean and super close to the town but there are a few basic issues! Ghent is very expensive to eat in and this hostel doesn't even have a basic kitchen for residents to use. This makes the stay very expensive even though the hostel is mid-priced. The second issue is that there is hardly any plug... More

On a road trip to the Belgian GP, we needed a cheap place to get our heads down after a few beers en route. The hostel was bright and cheerful and was perfect for our needs. We stayed in a private room for 5 with en suite and the room was functional and clean enough, and the shower was fine.... More

I picked this hostel because when I was researching Ghent, I read the best view to the castle was from the hostel. It was true ! Close to the old center, beautiful view to the castle and waterways, and close enough to everything there is to see for the laziest traveller to not complain the walk. The room was good,... More

This is a no frills hostel close to the castle and other main attractions of Gent. We stayed in a three bed room. I think all the rooms have showers and bathrooms. The toilet is separate from the room with the shower and the sink. The room reminded me very much of a dorm room. The beds were small and... More

This is a very modern and comfortable youth hostel with an exquisite location, right on the main canal. The breakfast is adequate, without being memorable. If you get a view of the Steen from your room, you will be in for a real treat. Very highly recommend for single travelers (in 4 or 6 bedded rooms), but also worth-while to... More

Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, amazing breakfast (really, trust me: homemade cakes etc), showers attached to the rooms. Very good location. Everything was perfect. You should go and try it too! I went in the winter, so it was pretty quiet, so if you want a buzzling hostel, you should go in the summer.
