We stayed for four nights and took trains to Bruge and Brussels. Gent itself is very interesting. The NH hotel is near the train station and is very comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Excellent Hotel in a good location relative to the train station and half an hour walk from the old town centre. The hotel was very clean and our bed was massive recommend you upgrade your room if you can afford it. Didn't bother with breakfast as there are enough cafe's to choose from.

Just a few minutes walk from the railway station, this hotel is ideally situated and easily accessible. Far enough from the centre of the town to be quiet and peaceful but with excellent transport links, it is a fine choice for any traveller. The price was reasonable, the staff were extremely helpful and the room was excellent.

The crew was receptive, The room has good space and the free internet signal is good. Place is quiet annd near the train station. The breakfast is really very good. A minor problem: one of the lamps inside the room were burned.

I stayed 2 nights in Ghent earlier this week. The 1st night at the NH Balfour, which has a 4 star rating and deserves it. A clean hotel, lovely rooms, good service. The 2nd night we had to change hotels so opted for another NH based on our experience at the Balfour. The moment you enter you notice a strong... More

Nice fairly moden hotel within 5-10 min walk of St Pieters station. Very convenient if making day trips to Bruges and Brussels as we did. A little further from the historic town centre but not more than 15-20 scenic stroll. There is also a good tram link. Also an excellent italian restaurant just down the street! Our room was quite... The room was really big and of high quality, as was the rest of the hotel! But the best thing about the hotel was probably the breakfast, really awesome! As was all the staff by the way... I'm going to stay here again the next time I'm visiting Gent!

This was the second NH hotel we've stayed in. It just about ticks a few boxes, but didn't press all the buttons for us. The rooms are nice, but the doors were a nightmare to operate. The breakfast was adequate and the service excellent, but not good value for money at 17 euros a pop. It's a bit of a hike... More

The hotel is very old looking on the inside but I must say from the outside it looks very presentable. The rooms are in serious lack of upgrading. The bathroom curtain should really be changed as it's dirty at the bottom and way too long. The lights are pretty dim. The breakfast is just average. Dont worry about the parking... More

Positioned on the outside of the inner city, the hotel was easy to find and provided a pleasant reception. Parking is available in a hotel car park just around the corner, although it was possible to offload baggage from the front of the Hotel. Our room was clean and very spacious with a satellite television. There is a tram stop... More
