I stayed four nights in this hotel which was one of the congress hotels of the meeting I attended. The location is nice and convenient. I got experience of two rooms which were totally identical. This was because, the first night, I changed rooms at 2.30 a.m. The Gent municipal street construction crew made such a racket all night and... More

Great location. As another reviewer noted: Imagine IKEA opened a hotel. It was clean, small (by U.S. standards), and spartan. Breakfast buffet had many options, although pretty standard. Decent lounge/bar area for a drink/chat while waiting to go out to more interesting places.

Th hotel is located in Ghent center. It is very close to restaurants, trams and cathedral. Taking the number 1 tram from the St Peter's train station lands you about 3 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are clean, the shower has good pressure, and there is a flat screen tv with channels in multiple languages. We had a... More

I find Ibis Hotels often quite boring, small, and “low class”; the only reason for choosing it would be due to their location and/or price. This Ibis is located at a great spot in Ghent (the other one isn’t that much further either, but Ghent is rather small), just next to the St. Baafs Cathedral (which was undergoing restoration, it... I am not a great fan of Ibis Hotels (known as Motel 6 in the USA), but the Ghent Ibis was good value for money. The room was quite large for a center-city budget hotel. Typical of the Ibis rooms, there are no frills but my room was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is... More

...this would be it. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with this hotel. It's in a good location - not great, but good. It's clean. The beds are comfortable. The staff is efficient and provides good service. It's a stay on a budget. Very similar to your typical Hampton Inn or HI Express. My room was a double-room. There... More

This is a decent hotel - not very spectacular, but given its rates that's understandable. It is in the centre of the town but that is also its biggest disadvantage. It is next to the St Baafs Cathedral, which is undergoing heavy construction work: from 7 am onwards is it is a hell of a noise.
