We spent two nights at Simon Says with friends. Both rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the very centre and lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast in the café was very good, and we also enjoyed lunch there with complimentary drinks on the first day. Simon and Christopher... More

Long before everyone else, Simon Says served great coffee in a lovely environment. And they keep doing just that. For a nice breakfast, fine lunch, great tea or coffee, this is the place. Very consistent, with friendly staff, good prices and a great atmosphere. When in Ghent, go there!

First day I visited Simon Says was just for a cappuccino after my flight from Malta and train ride from Brussels. I was tired and a bit stressed so all I needed was a comfortable spot to unwind and relax. It was the perfect place to catch up with an old friend and I was most pleasantly surprised by the... More

This Cafe sits on the end of a street crammed with restaurants, bars and artisanal shops. The staff are friendly, welcoming and engage your children in a fun way. There was outside seating, french cafe style, available but we sat inside. Inside is a typical traditional cafe look but brighter than the regional norm. The food was fresh, wholesome, delivered efficiently... More

Simon hails from Wales but has lived here many years and his enthusiasm and warm welcome for his guests is outstanding. Currently he has 2 boutique rooms available but a futher room may follow - he needs to find time from running the permanently busy cafe downstairs. Beautifully appointed rooms, all the facilities you want, free bottled water, hairdryer, tea/coffee... More

I am writing this review from the point of view of a client to the cafe. (I am aware that he now has a B&B, which by all accounts sounds fabulous). Simon is amazing. Originally from Wales, he speaks Dutch like a local. :) He is warm and welcoming. His staff are also lovely. The breakfast and brunch formulas are... More

We just stayed there short time, but we realy enjoyed it! we took four hot chocolates, all different and all fantastic (if you love piquancy, you should take the Hot hot chocolate! otherwise, there's also... We really enjoyed our stay at Simon Says. A lovely room overlooking the street with all mod cons and a nice breakfast in the cafe. Friendly hosts. Nice neighbourhood with some cafés and a bakery and laundrette. Short walk to old town. Only suggestion is to take earplugs to block out some streetnoise especially on weekends.

Spent four nights in this wonderful B&B in August. Simon and Christopher (and all their staff) could not have been more welcoming. The breakfast was perfect, the room was spacious (crazy spacious by most European B&B standards!!), and even Vache was quite friendly -- well after a while! There is no doubt that this will be our go-to place next... More

On the recommendation of our host we visited Simon Says to have a coffee and something light to eat around 11:30am. When we arrived the cafe was full inside. The staff member who attended us at the doorway was not particularly helpful and indicated we could have a table outside. The outdoor area is uninspiring - one high table with... More

Dear Sir, First of all we'd like to apologise that our service did not meet your obviously high expectations. It upsets me that this situation even arrises, as we strive to give good service at all times. It is also our opinion that good service is equally as important as a good product. The period you visited the café was... More
